The **London Eye**, a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames, is one of London's most iconic attractions. Opened in 2000, it stands 135 meters tall and offers panoramic views of the city, including landmarks like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and St. Paul's Cathedral. With 32 glass-enclosed capsules, each holding up to 25 people, the London Eye provides a smooth and scenic 30-minute rotation, making it a must-visit for tourists. Its central location and breathtaking views have solidified its status as a symbol of modern London.

**Tower Bridge** in London is one of the city's most iconic landmarks, renowned for its distinctive neo-Gothic towers and impressive engineering. Completed in 1894, the bridge spans the River Thames and combines functionality with beauty, serving as both a bascule and suspension bridge. Visitors can explore its glass-floored walkways for stunning panoramic views of London, as well as the **Tower Bridge Exhibition**, which showcases the history and mechanics behind the bridge's operation. Tower Bridge is not only a key transport link but also a symbol of London's rich heritage and architectural innovation.

We have wanted to visit the Sky Bar for a while, finally we made it.

You need to book a slot in advance at no cost, when we saw the number of people queuing we thought it would be packed, how wrong we were. There was loads of room.

They have a well stocked, if a little pricey bar, limited snack options and loads of room to wander round and experience the fabulous views and on our visit, no pressure to vacate.

A great visit, well overdue, it would be fabulous to visit in the evening when the city is full of twinkling lights.

A must if in London but make sure you book in advance.

    Highly recommended.

What a fascinating building. The final resting places of England's early Kings and Queens. Lots of memorials to many noteworthy Britons including Queens Elizabeth 1, Mary 1, Mary Queen of Scots, Edward the Confessor, Henry 5 and 7. There is a gallery you can visit too which provides a stunning view of the Nave and looks down over the Coronation Theatre and ancient Cosmati Pavement. You can also see the secluded Shrine of Edward the Confessor which is not normally available to the public. The Chaoter House is a huge space too where monks would have said prayers in the old monastery. The audio guide is amazing and you can even download it to your phone. The staff inside are busy but helpful. Because it is an ancient building there are some areas not accessible if you use a wheelchair.

I recommend visiting off-season because during school holidays there I can be a long queue.
I would allow for three and a half hours for a visit, so you can visit the cafe, and take time to read the large amounts of information in the Churchill Museum.

The attraction is the former command basement that Churchill and the Chiefs of Staff used in the run up to and during World War Two

You walk along a clearly defined route looking at the map rooms, communications rooms, private bedrooms, conference rooms etc.
They are exactly as they were during the war, with a few wax models of soldiers added in.

The highlights are Churchill's bedroom and the Map Room.

In the middle of the site is a large detailed room called "The Churchill Museum".
About his life, politics, personal life and humour.
There is so much information and so many artefacts in there that it needs an hour and a half on it's own to do it justice!

You will want to take many photos, though I recommend the compact "Secrets of Churchills War Rooms" book which is an expanded guide book at an affordable price, stocked with photos and relevant information.

There is a very well stocked gift shop.

Visitors get given an audio guide which is essential, as the site is large with so much to see and learn.

Christmas lights are truly amazing. The walk through to the massive tree and the markets are really nice.. Be prepared that it is very busy, watch yourself and your bags.. But we had no problems at all. The markets provided a, good variety of crafts and Christmas gifts.. But the Christmas baubles, bells inside the market were lovely.

Fantastic tour. Takes 90 mins and involves over 300 steps.
If you are afraid of heights, the stairs will be a challenge as they are about 2ft wide with a medium height railing, which you can look over to the floor. Going up is fine. Going down is interesting.
There are 2 stops on the way up with the history of the tower. Then the clock mechanism. Then the Bells for the Hiur chime, then the clock faces and the walk down.
    As for shoes.....
The health and safety bloke is OTT. Having spent all day walking around London. He deemed my wife's shoes to have too high a heel. They were just normal shoes. A 20min RUN to a shoe shop. ÂŁ30 for a pair of trainers and the run back wasn't appreciated...
BE WARNED. If they are not FLAT shoes he will kick you off

Was here on a Saturday evening when the Choral Evensong service was taking place. There was seating arrangement right under the dome. The Cathedral's architecture is just gorgeous.

A must visit tourist attraction. We arrived before it opened at 11am having prebooked . Only downside of our visit was information about where the front of the queue was . It meant a bit of guess work to make sure we weren’t at wrong end . After this slight hiccup everything was perfect. Luckily it was a clear day and we could see for miles. The lift took us up to the first viewing level then we climbed a few steps to the next. The stunning views made this well worth the visit.

Absolutely incredible. Awesome performance of All's Well in the fabulous setting of the Wannamaker Theatre. A truly magical experience being so close to the actors.

Totally over the top bordering on tacky but you have to love Harrods, are you actually visiting London like a true day tripper without a visit to this iconic landmark!!
Spoke to a super guy on the fresh tea counter, got some amazing orange earl grey tea, the smell was divine.
    Three things we did notice:
    1) thank the lord the new owners removed that incredibly awful memorial to Princess Di (I’m told it was removed in 2018, so shows you how often I visit the Capital.
    2) its big, it’s totally huge we got lost so many times and be prepared for walls of people, and we visited late on a Monday night and still super busy
    3) please note wheeled suitcases are not allowed, it would seem rucksacks are but not cases so we had to pay £5 per hour for the supermarket across the street to store it, we had the case as Harrods was the last stop before heading home on the train ! Have to say possibly the security guard could have done a better job than shouting “you cannot come in with that” as I walked through the door, so I asked was there a concierge service I could leave it with and he just said NO, granted he did with prompting say you can leave it with the supermarket over the road for a small charge ! Maybe a short trip to security guard finishing school wouldn’t go a miss for this young man !!

Thoroughly fascinating tour by the incredibly knowledgeable and wonderfully aninated guide, Paul Dubois. As well as the main landmarks, we were treated to less known parts including the crypt and sun terrace. I particularly enjoyed intriguing insights into London's colourful history and folklaw. Definitely recommend!
