Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Central London location meant may items were at higher prices than I am used to, but I was expecting this and I imagine their overheads must be enormous. I bought a beautiful Danish silver pendant, which I am very pleased with.Written 10 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ann g2 contributionsLoved the market, to see the range of jewelry, upscale porcelein and silver. The prices are not for the faint of heart, but where else can you buy a tiara?
All of the vendors were friendly, even if you were just window shopping, and I had a good time.Written 2 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Its full of impressive art deco lamps, a lot of them imported from Paris! Across from Alfies I slso found some really good vintage furniture shops specialising in mid-century furniture.Written 5 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Go050188924516 contributionsNot my first visit. Stock always "new" when I visit. Have been looking for a replacement coffee pot in stores, charity shops on line......I found a perfect beautiful one at Fleming Antiques. However most cafes wont have toilets and will direct you to the common facilities However, it is worth noting the toilets cost 1.50 to use. Bring some change with you . This is very expensive considering the high price of food and drink .Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ruth M4 contributionsSo disappointed. The outside was eye catching and the inside was dark and dreary ,room for about four people to shop, most of store roped off. Uninviting and would not go back. I guess you can not judge a book by its cover. Overall feeling that the owners really do not care to run a business.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David2 contributionsI visited them to find out information about a document I had inherited and which other dealers hadn't been able to identify.
They were brilliant, identifying the document and telling me about how it had been put together and how common it was at the time of publication (in the late-1880s).
Wonderful service and a really informative visit.Written 28 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were a lot of dinner sets, cutlery and jewellery on sale and a few stalls selling clothes and and military memorabilia. I especially like some of the stalls selling coloured glass. Everything that was marked with a price seemed reasonable, but I didn't try to haggle for anything that was unmarked.
Could be a quick or long visit depending on what you're interested in.Written 19 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was a bit blown away by the amount of clocks there in the first place and was shown around the different floors, and was very impressed by the quality of the clocks, and also Daniels knowledge of each one, but some where way out of my price range.
Finally got myself a small bracket clock, and arranged to pick it up on the Monday just before we left. A great antique clock shop right in the middle of London, with very knowledgeable owners, who cant do enough for you really. Would recommend these guys if anyone looking for antique clocks, and I think they have furniture there too.Written 16 December 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great 20th Century pieces in the basement from Designs of Modernity which brought us here via this guys website.. but the other 4 floors are full of amazing furniture from Georgian to 50s and 60sWritten 8 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
