Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Debbie B12 contributionsGreat staff, just too short of a tour. She was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. You can even walk or bike this park.Written 27 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Debbie B12 contributionsWe really enjoyed hiking this small park, the terrain had some steep climbs but were short. Walk both loops, it’s nice.Written 27 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- JennRegina, Canada182 contributionsVisited with my toddler for a hike upon recommendation. We made our way through a few short trails but found it a bit disappointing the museum was closed. I was unsure of how long of trails it would be to get up to the top where the look out was so we didn’t go. I read after it would’ve been nice to see. I didn’t see any posted trail maps so I was trying to follow my phone which takes away from the hiking. I was also trying to find the grandfather tree (which I want to say we did given the comparison pictures online) but nothing was posted to indicate the actual tree. Overall it was a good experience with lot of trail options.Written 28 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Caleb M1 contributionMe and my girlfriend were offroading in my truck and got stuck badly in a huge bog of mud and water. We hiked back to the highway and found Hidden Trails Adventures. They gave us a landline telephone so we could call our parents to let them know we were safe and then Robert took us in his truck after his daily ATV tours and pulled us out of the huge hole of mud at 11 pm. He then led us out of the forest. On the way to get my car he even gave us a mini tour of the trail. Everyone was friendly, professional and caring. When paying for the rescue, my credit card didn't work and Robert still pulled me out and trusted me to pay him later. Robert's wife made sure we were as comfortable as possible while waiting for him to return from the tour. Not sure if I could've gotten my car back without their help. Thank you forever!Written 15 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ingy1017Harrogate, UK19 contributionsThe Library has do much to offer. The Staff are very friendly and most helpful. You can sit in there and read. Interact with other customers, do jigsaws. They do so much for the children. The list is endless.Written 1 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The different berry spirits are very good and great to add to lemonade to kick your lemonade up a notch.
I was in their showroom where they do the sampling. They do a gin and two different types of vodka. Vodka is reasonably priced and smooth.
They do etched bottles for different occasions at a small price, great gift ideas.Written 20 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On a recent visit, we discovered that a park space on the east side of town is linked to the main park areas east and west of the Cowboy Trail by a very fine walking trail next to the Bow River. It looks like you can walk for hours on the trails of this lovely town! This section of the trail goes south of some industrial areas, but the area around the trail and next to the river are beautiful.Written 26 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2014JandyCalgary, Canada6,837 contributionsWhat a great place to visit. Really friendly and helpful staff that were very knowledgeable.
Loved looking at the exhibits and learning about the history of the building and surrounding areas.
It is free to enter but you can give a donation if you wish. There is plenty of parking right outside and you can even buy a souvenir to take home.
A must to see if you are in the area as really interesting.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Beautiful surrounding and the ranch itself is just an oasis. Loved it! The horses are very well taken care off and super fun to ride. Safe and steady, but all with their own characteristics. I went on the 3,5h Pine Ridge ride and after a big climb we got rewarded with an amazing view. I would absolutely recommend this to everybody who wants to enjoy a trail ride off the beaten path on great horses!Written 18 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The parking lot is large, we had no problem finding a spot. Outhouses are in the parking lot, and there was also a food truck parked there. You can either get down to the water near the boat launch or there are little paths you can climb down from the parking lot. Lots of space to set up and keep away from others if that is what you are looking for.
On the other side of the hwy there is a campground and another boat launch but the area to sit was a lot smaller.
It was +35 the day we went and the water was warm enough to swim at the end of June. It was very windy so the water was rough and not easy for little kids to get in and out of as there are many rocks that the waves crashed you in to but we managed. There is not a sandy beach but I was comfortable enough setting a blanket down amongst the rocks for the afternoon. We brought floaties but several times had to rescue them as the wind picked them up and sent them flying away.
We saw many people out windsurfing and boating. Nice area close to cool off in the heat.Written 3 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Most of the guides were really nice and we enjoyed the conversations with them. One guide was rude and condescending.
My most experienced daughter loved the trail ride, she wanted a calm relaxing experience to just enjoy the terrain and not have to work on the horse, and that is exactly what she got. My second daughter found it a bit boring and the trail too flat. I'm right in the middle. The horses were calm and well mannered, however haven ridden elsewhere where they allowed us to trot a little, go up and down hills made me want more than just walk on mostly even ground.
We were also a very large group ranging from approx 7 to 60 in age....so this was suited for all.
The 1 hour guided trail ride is excellent for beginners and being introduced to a horse. If we lived nearby we would take dvntage of the membership option and ride unguided or ask for a private guide.
Price was very reasonable. The horses are all healthy and well taken care of.Written 5 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Like some of reviewers below, the visual demonstration of the many kinds of barbed wire was indeed impressive. Fun to read the names of cowboy hats, donated by many famous local ranchers, were hung along the beams of the roof. It would be neat to revisit this place for a cup of "Cowboy Coffee" held on Thursday mornings (not sure what time). One could spend 1-2 hours when a more in-depth visit is possible. A younger gentleman manning the desk was most personable.Written 19 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
