What travellers are saying
- Lyp_auSydney, Australia43 contributionsDefinitely worth the trip. Approximately a 90-minute drive from Banff through some spectacular country side with fabulous views. The hot springs are extremely relaxing in a breath-taking location. Highly recommended if you are in the area.Written 3 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christina BLouisiana2,712 contributionsThere’s a few sights to see along the way. There may be some hiking trails but since we did not do any I can’t comment on that. We did stop at Vermillion Crossing, Numa Falls and Marble Canyon. It’s a long road with not a lot to see so if interested in the falls only, those are closer to Castle Junction entrance… or that last section of highway.Written 23 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherry M9 contributionsThis is a pretty little hike to get to. Worth the short drive up the mountain. We thought were were getting lost because the road seemed very isolated and was getting narrow but at the 8 km mark, we found the parking lot. It's a nice hike. Only about an hour there and back so very easy to do in a short amount of time.Written 30 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SeniorTravelerTFFort Atkinson1,199 contributionsThere is no reason not to make the 20 minute stop with the lake very close to Radium Springs along the major highway. The two paths at the lake total less than half a mile and feature several descriptive signs to point out notes.Written 13 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yvonne BPenticton, Canada387 contributionsAs part of our trip to Radium Hot Springs, we spent a day exploring the area around the town while we did some geocaching. We viewed the Wetlands while visiting the Iron Jack Commemorative Monument. This area is home for a number of bird species, fish, reptiles and amphibians. I learned that this is the source o the Columbia River that provides a habitat for a number of mammals including elk, deer and moose as well as bear, cougar, coyote, and beaver. This area contains the largest wetlands of its kind where conservation efforts include no watercraft traffic to protect this vast biosphere.Written 9 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stewarts Vacation1,035 contributionsThis was a fair sized visitor centre serviced by very friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed looking at the displays and information about the area. Nice, clean toilet facilities. Just behind the centre, slightly up the hill was the Queen of Peace Stations of the Cross: a short self-guided walk past a number of life-sized sculptures commemorating the Passion and death of Jesus Christ.Written 2 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SUNCKERSALBERTA31 contributionsWe have camped a number of days/nights at Dry Gulch and have been very impressed. The campground is kept exceptionally clean. Even the outhouses.
Quiet location. Some privacy between units.
The attendant is very polite and makes your stay enjoyable.
We will stay here on future trips into the Radium area.Written 16 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The fairways and rough were perfectly mowed with great definition of play. The greens were immaculate. Great layout with a mix of short and long holes, water & sand, once again immaculately groomed. Very reasonable prices. And the restaurant was good for that snack after golf. I highly recommend.Written 26 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- calgaryguyKelowna, Canada474 contributionsWe did a couple of hours along this trail, making sure we took all the side trails that gave us views of the river valley. Lovely outing. Plenty of crocuses and a couple of very obliging mountain bluebirds added to the pleasure. The trail is mainly flat but there are some significant ups and downs, so be aware.
Enjoy.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The course is extremely well maintained and offers a challenge no matter which tee box you play from but doesn’t punish the front tee box players. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you are golfing your way down the valley from Radium on South, then this should be your first round.Written 24 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kevin M3 contributionsGood time ...Mike the starter was very good.
