Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely loved this cruise around the lake! My husband and 8 year old and I were impressed with the smooth ride and the knowledge of the captain! The experience was wonderful! Money well spent.

Okay, I am really torn here, because the group I travelled with really, really loved this experience, especially the food, as it was the brunch cruise. But I didn't, as much, because I was treated very poorly by staff. But, first, the good: the boat is beautiful, somewhat spacious (some seats are way, way better than the long tables which trap you if you don't get an end seat), and the various viewing areas are unique and beautiful. On a sunny day, or warm night, it would be stunning. The singer was absolutely fantastic. And, well, the lake and surrounding countryside are stunning. They do really push the alcoholic drinks, so be ready for that. In any case, I still would absolutely recommend it, even at the somewhat expensive cost. It is worth it. But would it kill this company to have an English-speaking person available by phone, or to give an English-prompt when the line is busy? Really? Is your clientele exclusively French-speaking? Second, with a more than four-day warning, could you not make a simple dietary accommodation? There was not a single vegan item on the menu, despite having a vegan symbol. Not only was my request rejected (I called 4 days before), I was rudely told it was my responsibility to call earlier than that. In 2021, you could not even produce a fruit plate, or a million other options? Seriously. Is that good customer service? I haven't been treated that poorly in a long time. But, to make it worse, the food was still delivered to me at the table; and when I said I couldn't eat it, I was rudely told that the plate was too hot and he was putting it down, anyway. This kept happening through multiple courses. I assure you, I will not be the last person to request a vegan option, or gluten-free, or a meal without some item that could be a problem for them. The company seriously needs to do a better job of accommodating non-French speaking individuals and those with ethical or health food choices. It is 2021: you can and need to do better. So, 4 stars for some people, 2 stars for some of the rest of us.

Magog is a little town in Quebec's Eastern Townships. Magog sits at the northern end of Lake Memphremagog, a long and narrow fresh water glacial lake that spans both the U.S. state of Vermont and Canadian province of Quebec.

Parc de la Baie-de-Magog, which has paths, beaches and of course, water. Swimming in the lake is possible when the water is warm enough, usually by mid-June. But on a cold last day of November, it was open water, but I would not advise going for a swimm unless you like 'Polar dipping'. It was cold!

Magog has it's own fabled sea monster: the Creature of Lake Memphremagog, Memphré, who reportedly looks like an alligator or a sea horse. This aquatic serpent has been sighted by hundreds of people with the first record of its existence dating back to 1816.

It was a lovely short visit, we enjoyed the parade du père Noël at dusk, on Sat. Nov 30 on the main street as well. So Festive!

I have fished a lot of fishing guides all around Ontario and Quebec and Ridha is one of the best guide I fished with. He is professionally very sound and know what to do bring fish to the nets. Every summer I come to fish with him 2 - 3 times. All my friends fished with me like his friendly nature. See you Ridha in next summer. I am posting fish caught with Ridha.

Arrived at this location and immediately the service was excellent. Thomas was very helpful with the equipment (kayaks) that we needed. Brought everything down to the water for us. Any questions we had he answered for us. When we returned a full day on the water the team was there to even help us out of the kayaks. Would recommend this place highly.

First, when we booked, (early August) the guide should have advised us that the time of year we had picked was not ideal for the type of fishing we were looking for. We would have changed dates according to knowledgeable input.
    Second,
    This "guide's" attitude was deplorable.
"I will teach you some fishing techniques", he said. Not even bothering to ask if we had ever drowned a worm previously.

I have been going for Greys, Speckled, and Browns for 50 years, in the amazing great lakes of Northern Quebec.
My partner on this ill-fated 3-hour cruise, a friend of 25 years, has fished the rivers of Quebec, Montana, Wyoming, Florida and South America.
What we got is an arrogant, impatient "guide", who tried to get us to instantly understand state of the art Hummingbird technology... Really...
We were looking for a nice morning of fishing. Yep, sometimes you strike out
    So be it. That's fishing.
In this case, we felt totally ripped off.
Especially when this "guide" started giving us s..t for not playing his x-box way of finding fish.
Oh, by the way, a fishing guide should never rip a rod out if a client's hands because he does not like the way he reels in.
    Never again...

This is a great family outing! My daughter who is 9 loved seeing the vegetables in the fields and picking her own out as well as seeing the goats!! Great views and lots of great picture opportunities!
Best time of the year is when the sunflowers are in full bloom at the end of summer!!
