Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Liz3 contributionsThe new musical Maggie based on a story by Johnny Reid about the life of his grandmother was amazing!!Written 10 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rosy_odundas on21 contributionsWe had my daughter's 16th birthday party there this weekend. I can't say enough about the staff. The event was well done. And the girls had an absolute blast. The theatre itself is so nostalgic. They even sang happy birthday to my daughter, which was so thoughtful and special. Big shout out to Samantha, her customer service is 5*. And she goes above and beyond.Written 27 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Over the past few years we’ve seen comedies that made us laugh, plays that made us think and some pretty emotional story telling that captivated us. Although im not a performer in any way I am thankful for the role the Staircase plays in our community. Definitely worth checking out a show if you see something that catches your eye.Written 5 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The quality of the performances are outstanding - such alot of local talent abounds. Saw 'Back to the 80's' show and was very impressed with the singers, dancers and overall production. Great to support our local theatre group.Written 16 April 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brian and Cheryl BussToronto, Canada510 contributionsWent to see the Barenaked Ladies here. Great venue for concerts. Be aware the seat numbering system is a little strange. The right hand side of the theatre is even numbers and the left hand side is odd numbers. There is also no central aisle splitting the orchestra section - you may have to crawl over a lot of patrons if you enter late. That said, the seats are a good size and there is a lot of leg room. Very good layout and acoustics are good too... Don't get confused with the FirstOntario Centre which is the sports stadium nearby.Written 19 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - aMarmitonOntario, Canada217 contributionsI don't get to their productions often enough but those I have seen have been excellent. Most of their work is very favorably reviewed, so I can heartily recommend. Their "home base" is Waterdown Memorial Hall at the centre of Waterdown Victorian Village. The Hall will be undergoing some improvements soon that will further enhance its utility to the community and serve Village Theatre as well.Written 26 May 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John BHamilton, Canada2 contributionsHad a lovely time - the actors were affable & did a great job of creating atmosphere. I was also VERY impressed with how well they managed having multiple groups on such a relatively small space, while having the puzzles flow very smoothly. Kudos to the whole team - would very much recommend.
Extra bonus that we got to be on the lake during sunset :DWritten 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My only gripe is when we entered I purchased 6 drinks no problem. The next time my friend went to buy a round upstairs she was only permitted to buy 2 at a time!!! We were told by the bar staff this was the rules. Seems a bit over the top however it didn’t detract from a great night.Written 28 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Callie ABurlington, Canada108 contributionsGemma New is an outstanding conductor. We went to Sibelius Seven last night. The orchestra loves her and together they led us through Barton, contemporary,Avro Part, Kevin 'laugh and Sibelius. The conductor's lecture before the performance was a bonus.Written 12 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - b0b55russellOrillia, Canada1,262 contributionsI was here at week ago Thursday night related to the above stated titled review. Besides lots of parking, their bar is just outside of the doors to where our event was taking place. Lot's of room to meet and greet people, eat, stage presentations and hold your silent auction. One of the organizers told me they cane here as it was cheaper to hold this event compared to another banquet hall in the local area. Staff are professional and work effectively as a team in servering you your dinner. Worth checking out if your non-profit organization is looking for a professional run banquet hall to hold a future event.Written 2 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - raymileskiStoney Creek158 contributionsThere are over sixty in the company, and 'over sixty' is who they are! You won't find more enthusiasm and energy - did you ask talent, they are into comedy, dancing, and fine music for an audience that knows - after 40 years - that they will be uplifted and entertained. You feel the fun on stage, you hear the professional arrangements, and production values - it is wide open with vibrant personalities for you to enjoy.Written 21 March 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JazzyButtonsBrantford, Canada600 contributionsA couple nights ago visited the Molson Canadian Studio for a Finger Eleven concert in Hamilton. The location is very easy for paid public parking off Main street. Getting inside the venue is quick and easy, small concert hall equal to approximately 500 to 600 standing room, a few round high top drinking tables, upper seating for VIP's and radio station concert winners, small bar area and overall good venue for concert goers close to the stage atmosphere. I would definitely come back to see other bands and concerts.Written 14 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
