Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My 2 adult sons & I did this tour and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. The views of Cape Spear were wonderful and we did see some whales and puffins. I wish we had seen more puffins up close but that is not controllable.
We were able to get screeched in on the tour at $15pp. The crew were absolutely amazing and friendly. The tour was pricey and full....I did not think the amount of people waiting could get onto the boat but apparently the capacity is 99. it did get crowded when trying to see the whales but that is expected.

For those hungry for an extensive tour of the St. John's area, this is the tour to book. George was a very gracious host and provided us with oodles of information about the area. Highly recommended!

Our food tour of St. John’s was fun & authentic. It was well worth the price, between the tasty food offerings (delivered promptly on our arrival) and the rich stories told with passion by our guide Pierre. It was so clear that after his travels abroad, Pierre is home and loving sharing his love of Newfoundland, and it’s culture. The walking was well paced and manageable for me at 63y. This province is steeped in history, the Arts, especially music and comedy, all wrapped up in a love of community and this tour will bring you a taste of this.

Our tour with Geoff was terrific. We knew there would be a maximum of 6 guests but it was only the two of us. Geoff grew up in St John’s so was able to give us a firsthand sense of what it’s like to live in Newfoundland. He assured us the morning heavy fog would lift by the time we got to Cap Spear and it did! We were lucky that a pod of humpback whales was feeding right off shore there—an amazing thing to see.

The tour was a great mix of city highlights along with nearby fishing villages and Signal Hill and Cap Spear. Geoff gave us some great restaurant tips and suggested we tour the Irish Loop in our rental car the next day, which we did and found gorgeous! All in all, the tour was a great deal for the price. Would recommend it to all.

We were picked up from in front the tour company’s office
Only 2 couples in the tour
Very comfortable van the guide was good very informative had enough time at Cape spear though we couldn’t go. Lose to the light house
And enough time and amazing views from signal hill
Passed by a fishing village called Petty harbour
    Had 10 min there
Drove through Quisidi village though we will have some time to walk around
That was very disappointing otherwise the tour was good

Really helpful having the pedal assist for the hills around the shop. And in general in St. John's.
Was surprised by the reasonable price, and the owner/operator was kind enough to be flexible with me just stopping in to rent last minute (early season so wasn't stressing them out by any means). They fit me on the right sized bike which was great.
I got a LONG way on the bike, including heading up Battery Hill which isn't too accommodating to cars. So had some great trail riding, but also managed to go across the town to shop etc. The rental comes with a lock so ease of visiting spots with the bike was good.
As someone who bikes daily in my hometown and always trys to find a bike where ever I go, this was an easy choice and I would make it again if I went back to St. John's.
A note though - the town itself is not set up for cycling in the downtown core. So bike with confidence, but new riders maybe should be making good choices with bikes that can go this fast if the town gets busy during tourist season. I'm used to co-living with cars and traffic, so easy peasy and lemon squeezy, especially in low tourist season.

I had the privilege of being part of the very first beer tour. It was an enjoyable adventure through the landscape of the local craft and heritage beer culture with ample historical references to the importance of beer in the development of Newfoundland culture. Pierre and Melissa are excellent guides, and the beer was delicious.

This tour was the best option for me to see St. John and know more about the history of St. John. Since I am fond of history, this walking tour was an ideal tour for me. The tour guide enlightened us about the history and culture of St. John.

Great boat tour of the Harbour. Captain Barry provided interesting history along the way, but our best treat was seeing so many humpback whales in the Atlantic! It was the highlight of my trip to St. John's!

This boat trip was a lot of fun. Even though we didn’t manage to see a whale on our particular cruise, it was great. No one can predict when or if you can see whales but we knew that going in. Nature isn’t there just for our Ientertainment afterall! But the crew onboard made sure everyone had the best time either way. I would definitely go again.
