Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- MandL_OntarioOttawa, Canada36 contributionsGood to see this area being preserved. There are several different experiences, hiking, beaches, and forest walks that you can enjoy. Altogether a very relaxing place to be.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gary FielderWindsor, UK58 contributionsBrilliant tour. Informative, interesting and reasonably priced. They are rightly proud of their heritage and long history. Spent as much time in the small batch tap room as on the tour (which was just over an hour).Written 27 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Star80333 contributionsIf you time your visit to see low tide, then high tide, it can be quite impressive. We stopped on the way to Bay of Fundy for a break from driving and enjoyed the experience. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, 5 min from falls and hotel was excellent.Written 18 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Al ArsenaultPort Moody, Canada73 contributionsA local resident of Newfoundland told me that she never makes a reservation, but I find out that, although I was 2 hours early, I was put in a standby lane for the next ferry, leaving not this same evening, but the following day in the evening.
I would change the wording from "strongly recommended to having a reservation" to "absolutely needing to have a reservation" because of this.
The toll-free number is on their website, and it cost nothing additional to make a reservation, so do it to avoid a big hassle.Written 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Had a variety of vendors with gifts, souvenirs, ready to eat food and fresh food and meats available. Also had a variety of international items available.Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KaylieMoncton, Canada22 contributionsThis museum is so cool that I might die soon. I am not usually very amused by museums. I have visited over 309 on my expeditions around the world. This one is by far the worst. The best exhibits you could imagine but the worst smell ever. I had to take more than one shower when I got to my hotel. Bring gas masks if you don’t want to die of smell.Written 29 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KiwiFan17Canada244 contributionsPleasant surprise in Saint John. Well marked with many options and ability to drive around and park closer to the parts you wish to visit. Nice display for each province and territory. Saw some local ducks and ducklings. Seem to be enjoyed by many local walkers and joggers.Written 22 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maggie BAnnapolis, MD89 contributionsGreat tour, giving good insights into St. John history. Loved the fact there were so many original pieces. Good guide with a grasp of the history of the old city. Somewhat noisy in the beginning. Was hard to hear. A challenge for those with mobility issues but can be done. There do have chairs available in most roomsWritten 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- sydneySaint John, Canada5 contributionsThe Imperial Theatre is one of my favourite places in the city. They put on great shows there, I've always been satisfied with the performances. Seats are very comfortable, and there is a good view of the stage from most seats. I enjoy sitting on the sides of the balcony, but the edges of the stage do get in the way when trying to watch the show. Dressing rooms are nice, wide variety of teas in the green room. Snacks at the bar are a bit overpriced, which is a little annoying. Overall a great place to watch a show.Written 16 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- christopher sBrighton and Hove, UK539 contributionsThe falls are OK I would say we felt we had seen better in other parts of the world , do beware of the local taxi drivers who in my view ripped us offWritten 20 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DjrrossiCary, North Carolina, USA208 contributionsWe walked around the town after our ship docked. We could see some steeples from the ship so we went to explore. I loved the architecture of this church, and some friendly people greeted us and we could walk around. They had someone playing the organ so that added to our visit. It was a neat church that has survived time.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- staci S65 contributionsNice park area directly outside city market. Lot of homeless in park as most cities today.
