The boat traffic was very heavy, though, and the time spent in the air was less than quoted, so was a bit disappointed and wish I could have enjoyed it for longer. I would recommend booking tours as early as possible, as by the afternoon, there are tons of boats out on the water. I really appreciated that I was able to book fairly last-minute, though. The booking and communication process with German was very effective, he was very knowledgeable, friendly and diligent about finding whales. He always found the right spots and we saw more than 10 humpback whales with their calves, groups of dolphins and several sea lions. German and his son took excellent photos and videos which we were able to download. The clear boat was fantastic - great for seeing fish and made the experience so much more fun! Our tour guide was SO genuine and energetic, and did such a great job coaching people and ensuring we all ended up with great pictures and videos! And the views were fantastic.
