The water was absolutely stunning, it was so clear and beautiful. There were bars and food near the beach. We went around 4 pm both times so the sun wasn’t overbearing and it wasn’t as crowded, and I’m glad we did

Some of the best views of the island and the carribean you will ever find. it was absolutely beautiful. The views, Mayan sculptures/ruins, and iguanas were a great experience

The crystal clear waters where you can see the ocean life without snorkeling and the sea lion show plus petting the sea lion!

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our day trip to the island. Once we made it down the staircase and to a table right on the water we were struck with the best view on Isla Mujeres. It is hard to describe how gorgeous the view is from this restaurant and it is worth the trip alone. We had a few drinks and just sat here for over an hour just looking out over the water.

I went here to be sure I was getting locally handmade jewelry. There were two women actively making jewelry when we walked in. Every piece has a note with the artist’s name on it that they noted when we paid to make sure money went to the individual artist for each piece

The free beach near the central area is great- I definitely recommend it, however, be careful.

My friends were in the water and I had come up later. I noticed two guys who didn't look like they were dressed for the beach carrying two empty backpacks. Did I have confirmation that the backpacks were totally empty? No, obviously- but they didn't have any towels, no bulges in the backpacks, no bottles of water, nothing- nothing you would normally bring to a beach, wear to a beach, or pull out while at the beach.

They just stood there canvassing the area, so I went and sat by my friends stuff and just stared at them; I've traveled extensively and you can tell when people don't belong or are pretty obviously there for other reasons.

After a bit they left - but they literally just stood in the same spot not moving, canvassing, then gave up. I'm not exaggerating when I say that you could tell that these two individuals weren't there to swim.

Great place to be, I DEFINITELY recommend going and didn't feel unsafe at all, but like ALL places when traveling, please be aware of your surroundings and keep a close eye on your belongings. Tourists are an easy target.

Churches might get more worshippers if they all views like this one has! Truly an amazing design and well worth visiting. Currently they ask visitors to wear masks. There is a small selection of tat for sale.

We booked through a local cooperative for $25 per person. There were seven of us. There was some current as others have mentioned, but nothing too bad. LOTS of fish and surprisingly quite a bit of coral. Definitely worth a trip if you have the time and like snorkeling.

I enjoy the Malecon while hunting for sea glass early in the morning. The breeze from the Caribbean is refreshing. The Malecon is also safe.

We have been here a few times with boat captains for lunch. The food is good. The cocktails are reasonably prices (if a bit slow). They have large outdoor grills for the famous Tikin Xic fish. The gem here is one of the souvenir shop owners. Elizabeth was sweet and awesome. We bought several little gifts, a new beach bag and a skull candle holder for the best prices on the island. (Not fans of the two nurse sharks the owner keeps in captivity on the docks). We will return again. Good fish tacos and ceviche.

We attended Sunday mass at 10 am. The church is not air-conditioned which is typical for the Mexican churches we have attended. The mass was in Spanish but we were able to follow the mass and did our responses in English along with half the congregation there. Bring a fan with you during the warmer season and you don't need to wear a jacket.

We (2 adults and 2 teenagers) went here hoping to have a good meal and spend time on a different beach than Playa Norte. The restaurant was great- We had a nice table by the water, great service, and great food, including delicious tikin xic and a pitcher of tamarind juice that was needed in the heat. The swimming not so much, their beach has mostly washed away and butts tight up to a beach where hundreds (literally) of day trip boaters got on and off all day long. It Was kind of fun to watch them though. The water wasn’t particularly clean either. There is another tiny beach part of langueros which is great for lounging if not for swimming.

We had the pleasure of being a part of our dear local friends' wedding here. The church was beautiful, and the Padre and all the helpers were so friendly and welcoming. It was a beautiful experience!

We were a party of seven, including adults, teenagers, and one young child. We went on a Monday, and it was a ghost town. Yet, they still treated it like a nightclub. The music was earsplittingly loud, which made it hard to relax. We went for the waterslides that emptied into the ocean; they were all closed during our visit. The property is not well-maintained. The staff was lovely. I just wish the premises were similarly lovely.

This place could be and I am sure it was amazing. Great history and story but has been let go for many many years. We still enjoyed but it could be so amazing if cared for properly.
