This was our second trip to the beautiful and amazing Ahhh Ras Natango Gallery and Garden located in Montego Bay. We have visited many locations in and around Montego Bay and can honestly say that this is our favorite place to visit while staying at Secrets. We always feel welcomed so a huge thank you to Tamika, Ras, Ayale and Marcia. We love the wonderful and informative stories from Ras and Tamika that details the creation of their homeplace along with the beautiful tour through their gardens provided by their son Ayale. Also, a special thank you for the delicious lunch and beautiful table setting that was prepared for my wife and me during our visit. Finally, we must thank our close friends from Canada Tim and Donna along with Handover Transportation for making this wonderful trip possible.

Great place to shop and chill out.
If you're looking for souvenirs, green apples gift shop is your best bet. AVOID reggae style gift shop. Customer service is poor and is a lot more expensive. As soon as you walk in you are told you have a 50% discount until you see the price tags on the items.

After a nice afternoon of church and then touring in Montego Bay we enjoyed the craft store. The people are very pleasant even if you do not buy. Yes there is pressure but in the end the is "respect" as they call it.

If you need shoes, books, a telephone, a pharmacy, clothes, appliances, restaurants, doctors, grocery stores, this shopping area has it all.

We saw the sign out on the road saying there was a Jamaican restaurant so we turned in to check it out. There are a lot of vacant stores. We couldn't find the restaurant and it looked a little scary so we left. Later we made reservations for massage and the massage place turned out to be on the bay side of the shopping center and very lovely but I never would have found it if Claudette hadn't come out to the parking lot to greet us.

This a warning not about the centre as not a lot there. The warning is about the Taxis.
we arrived on a cruise and was told to take a taxi to town,we walked out to the taxi rank and was directed to a mini bus,I asked the guide if this was for town and was told yes man.Once the bus was full we moved off and was told by the guide her name was a long one so call her K and the driver was nicknamed pony tail.before we had travelled out of site of the ship she was trying to sell extra trip but most of the bus wanted the beach and about 6 of us wanted the town. She tried to tell us that she was not allowed to take us there by the tourist board and she went straight to the beach and said this is were we all got off and there was shops down the road.I said we wished to see the town and we had a stand up argument.when she realised that we was not getting off we were taken to the town centre. The reason that she wanted all passengers in one spot was so she could sell a extra trip when they returned ,which she did selling a r/t trip via a view for 20 dollars instead of 7.The con being that on a full bus even those that do not want to go will pay,Its one of the oldest con in the book.We walked back to the ship after being told by a town taxi the fare was 2000 dollars.O well one place not to go back to.

This fairly new shopping centre is home to the newest branch of Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records. Perched on the busy as we call it "Hip Strip" makes an ideal location for up and coming related tourism businesses. It is on the side of the beach yet away from the beach. It is a clean environment without much hassle and in time will become a prime commercial spot. Currently it houses courier, entertainment and inbond shops with a car rental office. It sure is a place great potential.

I only give this area a two because we were able to find all souvenirs for family all in one place. But you definitely feel like cattle being hustled into certain shops. Any ‘everything is half off’, so I counted up all of our stuff and came up way different total than the cashier and I was so irritated that I just paid and wanted to get out of there. So we were charged $60 more than what was advertised and the bottle of sunscreen ($17) didn’t work. I know the Jamaican economy is hurting from Covid, so I guess this is how they’re recouping some lost money. Also just be prepared for pushy shop owner/workers and people try to sell you marijuana around each and every corner.

All excursions were fun and pleasing! But most of all, our host Rudy was on point and fantastic. He was able to guide us in the RIGHT direction at all times.

When it was time for me to leave, unfortunately the airport went on strike so we were unable to leave Jamaica until the next day. The first person that I called was Rudy and he was there within 20 minutes to get us situated in new room and provided transportation to the airport the next day when flights were resumed.

Don’t let the name fool you. This is a tough track with both 9’s playing 2 games. The front is pretty open with wind being a factor. The back, you better keep the ball in play.

Played twice in 5 days. Played early ( first one out) so I can’t tell you about speed of play.

Pro shop… well stocked. We stayed at a preferred resort so the cost per round was 120 plus 20 extra for the caddie. Range balls included.

Putting green was true to the course. Everything will break to the water. HARD! No matter what you think you see. Down hill will roll a solid 10. Up hill you better hit it.

Take a caddie. Well worth it. Saved me at least 10 strokes 1st round. Played to my cap (13). Second round ended up 7 over par. Besides the 20 you prepay I threw him (Michael, take Michael!) another 30 after the round.

Front nine pretty open with wind coming into play. Especially on the ocean holes. Fairways aren’t tight, ball sits up nicely. Rough could be thick in spots. As it should be. You can bump n run quite a few holes but you’ll also need to carry water, grass waste areas on a few.

Back nine is truly a shot making nine. Much tighter as it runs through forest. I think I used irons off the tee on 8 of 9 on the back.
A lot more carrys on the back and the fairways will slop hard down the mountain side.

Course finishes with a par 4, 5 and 5 so if you play smart you can end your day on a high note.

    Enjoy.

This is by far the best jewelry store in Montego Bay!~ From the moment we walked in the staff were very personable. We did not feel pressured. I spotted a gorgeous Garavelli Italian ring and fell in love with it. SanJay gave us a great price and was fantastic. They sized it for me and personally delivered it to my hotel the next day. All the people working at Tropicana were very professional, genuine and honest. I absolutely love my ring and highly recommend Tropicana Jewelers.

I was searching around the US for a specific watch and came across Jewels in Paradise. I’d previously contacted a US based jeweler and received no response. I sent a WhatsApp to Girish at Jewels and received a response back in five minutes. He sent a video of the watch and reassured me about the history of Jewels in Paradise, the payment options, and that the watch would come with box and papers. I’d typically never make a purchase this large without seeing it in person but Girish provided such exceptional service that I felt completely secure. Not only was the service fantastic but the duty free price was the best I could find anywhere and saved me several hundred dollars. After confirming the purchase I received an invoice and sent a secure payment by PayPal with no additional fees or taxes. Girish sent another video of him boxing up the watch with the tracking label from FedEx and I received the watch 2 days later. Absolutely can’t beat the price and service at Jewels in Paradise. Highly recommend for fast, secure shipping to the US, great prices, and superior service!

We did the Lethe Bamboo rafting with a foot massage. This was the most incredible experience Of our party of eight. The tour guides were all so amazing and some of the sweetest boys we met on the trip. They made us feel so comfortable and we had such a good time and even became friends after this excursion. This is worth the experience and I would come back 1 million times more! The water at the river was so clean and nice and refreshing we could swim in there for hours. They made my 21st birthday so special!
