Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were so pleased to have done this tour. Shana was a truly wonderful guide and told us all the gripping stories associated with Rose Hall. Possibly because we went at midday (a quiet time) we were fortunate enough to be given a private tour which made it very special. We were absolutely fascinated by the rich history, not only of Rose Hall but also of the wider area as well as the brutal slave trade, the plantations and Great Houses, and of Jamaican culture. We learnt SO much. We left with a lot to reflect on and talk about. Don't just sit on the beach, GO TO ROSE HALL!

This place is really worth its hefty entrance price when you take the tour. The guiding lady was not only full of great positive energy, she also was really musically gifted, sang the songs, brought the vibe. The grounds of this house are nicely kept and pretty. This sight represents jamaica to us.

It was a great tour and would recommend it. They explained the process very well and it was very informative. A must do in Jamaica. However, the roads to get to this place was not that great so it's not a smooth travel. It took about approximately 2 hours from Negril. Long trip but still worth it!

This tour a property is definitely off of the beaten path but the trip makes the tour extra special. We learned a lot about the house & what is in it. The road getting up to the property is sketchy but is well worth it (don't be frightened off by the drive). The tour guide was fantastic. The property is beautiful & definitely well maintained. Take this tour if you have a chance.

Wonderful priest who greeted everyone before Mass, asked if any special occasions etc. Even though we were vacationers we felt warmly welcomed and you could tell it was a family-like congregation.

Located downtown, near the sea front. Contains a wide range of historic and contemporary art, with exhibits divided into themed areas. The art works are displayed attractively and can be viewed from many angles. At the time of our visit there was an exhibition of art based on experiences of lockdown - very interesting and moving, but only runs until March 2024. Look out for other special events. There's a gift shop if you're thinking about presents or souvenirs.

This shopping street was created for the cruise ship trade and consists of about 30 shops selling designer wear and tourist tat. There are some impressive murals to be seen and a giant waterwheel in a pleasant garden at the end of the street but unless you are a serious browser the whole street can be visited in 30.mins. We only went as our hotel offered a free shuttle, but there are certainly no bargains to be had and personally I would pay a taxi to take me.

I was worried because we booked online and it seemed to go through but we never got an email confirmation. Before we left I reached out via Facebook and learned there was a website error and they didn’t have the reservation. I’m so glad I checked! Thankfully Navar was able to pick us up at the time we needed to take us to our Negril resort, even though it was last minute. He was so kind and friendly, and a safe driver. He even helped us secure authentic (and delicious) Jamaican patties on our way back to the airport since we missed them during our stay. I would highly recommend!

Dwayne's Taxi took care of us during our first trip to Negril. They were on time and easy to find at MBJ and our airbnb, gave us a complimentary wata on the ride, and the drivers shared their experiences of and knowledge about the areas we drove through to make the time pass. The vans were nice and in good shape. Communication over email was timely as well. We definitely recommend them for getting you around Jamaica.

I love going to churches in the Caribbean islands. People are so welcoming. As soon as we walked in for Sunday noon mass we were greeted, given a songbook, bulletin and ushered to one of the first pews. This church is beautiful, its right on the edge of the ocean, you can see the blue ocean through the windows on the side of the altar. Pefect church to get married in. The church came alive with singing and music, the priest had a great homily. After mass we walked around the outside of the church taking in the great views.

Will definitely attend mass again when in town.
