Ahhh...Ras Natango Gallery and Garden Montego Bay
#1 of 108 Sights & Landmarks in Jamaica
The combination of the garden, the gallery, the breath taking beauty of the site is further enhanced by the gracious and knowledgeable hosts, Tamika Williams, her husband Ian (Ras Natango), and their son Aayale.
The views are breathtaking, the gardens showcase nature in the most gorgeous and creative ways you could ever imagine intertwining the beauty of nature and unexpected man made art work around every corner.

Croydon Plantation Montego Bay
#3 of 108 Sights & Landmarks in Jamaica
As soon as you get to the plantation, it is a breathtaking view of the mountains and some of the most beautiful foliage I've ever seen.
The ride was long and bumpy from our resort at montego bay but the guide points out different landmarks along the way and it didn’t even seem that long!

Well worth a visit, it was interesting to take a tour of the mansion and its history, then try the famous ice cream and meat patties on site (which you can wash down with some coconut water).

The old house is really lovely and interesting, the view from the top of the mountain is gorgeous, and the tea served on the verandah was authentic, plentiful, and delicious.
The site is an 18 th century plantation house and outbuildings, including the ruins of an old slave hospital, on the banks of the Martha Brae river in a lush forest setting.

The views are breathtaking but keep in mind it is also third world so things aren’t really kept clean and nice, but that is their culture and it is all amazing to see.
You arrive at the tour site and a different guide will take you through - give history and background, make you laugh (Krazy was our guide) but the drive for me was the best part.

After an interesting history lesson by the knowledgeable curator of the museum at Fort Charles, a resident of Port Royal, we went to view the Giddy House on the premises.
The expensive option is taking a tour with one of Port Royal tour guides, which has its bonuses: that will take you around port royal and show you historic sites that otherwise would have been missed.
