"This is a new port that Carnival Cruises are visiting, it is a very beautiful port, we enjoyed our day, my daughter went swimming in the ocean, did some geo-caching, I visited the shops, lots of interesting things...""Amber Cove is a purpose built Carnival Cruise Centre with lots of shops, restaurants and a large swimming pool area which gets busy when cruise boats are in."

"This fort dates from Spanish colonial times when Christopher Columbus settled on the island, and also includes history about Duarte, the Dominican patriot that led the country to freedom from Haiti’s rule in 1844...""We did this excursion on a day trip there was alot of walking but it was absolutely amazing the guide that we had explained everything to us gave us time to take pictures and having young kids with us made it fun..."
