- Megan BNew England674 contributionsThis hike can't possibly be properly photographed or even described. It was just absolutely stunning from start to finish. It is a fairly challenging hike that takes you up & over different types of terrain. Took us 2.5 hours to complete. Wear shoes/boots with excellent gripping. We had perfect weather but I cannot imagine how slippery the walk would have been in the rain. The trail is very well cared for and well marked. Be sure to swing by the farm house before you leave the area. Unfortunately, we missed out on meeting the owner due to timing but we did get to sign the guest book and take a look around. Very welcoming! - tomaparEnniscrone, Ireland556 contributionsMy gps took me to the end of the road somewhere in the Burren. I was expecting a visitor centre but their is none. I plugged in Burren Center and it took me to a tourist centre where the lady was very helpful. When I got the the trails, there were about a dozen cars parked along the road. I did manage to go on the purple farm trail which was not one of the trails on the website. I met a few goats on the hike. The first few kilometers were pleasant but once you get on the rocks walking is difficult and the trail is hard to follow.
