What travellers are saying
- SallyAnn McDuffWestgate-on-Sea, UK612 contributionsWe found this place by accident on out drive home from south wales. Just driving up to it takes your breath away. It’s stunning.
We were short on time so we didn’t pay and go in just stood on the side of the road and took photos.
It’s beautiful. Never seen an abbey like this before and just beautiful. So much history here.Written 29 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lovely place, we’ll looked after, great gin and fabulous way to spend couple hours, distilling our own concoction. Glad for a lift home as we got to try lots of cocktails on top of several GnTs 🍸🍹!
Highly recommended.Written 4 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Tracy B17 contributionsWe were looking for a stop off to stretch our legs and have a coffee. We found this by complete accident.
Lovely little spot on the edge of the Wye. You could park up and walk along the river as we did for a couple of miles before stopping off for a coffee. The cakes were delicious although the coffee cups were too small, but hayho, we were happy.
A great stop off if you've got small children.Written 23 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is on a hill, but one is rewarded with great views of Tintern. We visited with the owner, drank some wine, bought a bottle.Written 11 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Judith LEbbw Vale, UK166 contributionsWe love visiting this studio. It is full of interesting and amazing items for sale. You could spend ages just soaking up the atmosphere and we always find something to buy.Written 19 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew CSt Anne, UK1,699 contributionsA small compact yet quiet worshipful atmosphere. Gray position by the river with a good guide inside with boards explaining activities and service. Worth a look. You can donate if you’d like to🤔Written 18 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - steve b2 contributionsLocal artist right near the Giant’s Causeway, within one of the car parks, well worth a visit. With a mixture of original art and crafts. From beautiful hand made sliver necklace, earrings, to fabulous local photos, and amazing pottery work. Well done keep up the good work, “we are all in the same boat”.Written 28 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Patrick ACedar Falls, IA508 contributionsWe were hiking on the hills above Tintern, sometimes a little lost. We were led to this church and graveyard by a woman whose mother was buried there. It is worth a look. Unusual grave markers as well.Written 11 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew CSt Anne, UK1,699 contributionsAbsolutely fabulous and thoughtful garden. Stunning and challenging sculptures. Well worth visiting. - David EBerkshire, UK234 contributionsI've mainly done business with S&R via the internet & found their response to book orders first class. However, we were in the area last week so called into the shop (we are not local but first visited 14 years ago). Books are located in various rooms on two floors & subjects easy to locate. Prices are reasonable, but of course as with anything the condition of the book is reflected in the price you pay. I have entered that the recommended visit time is less than one hour. However, I knew exactly what I wanted & went straight to it! If not, such is the vast selection of books, one could spend many hours here. Off road parking opposite with nice views of the River Wye. Highly recommended.Written 19 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
