What travellers are saying
- alibatty🦇Dundee, UK4,840 contributionsThis is a wonderful clean beach of demerara coloured sand , that’s directly accessed from the East-Neuk town, with many of the houses having enviable sea views from their windows or back gardens. At low tide Earlsferry Beach links with the Harbour Beach - so plenty space to stretch your legs. As it’s a sheltered bay it’s very popular for all kinds of watersports, and Elie has a centre for that in the harbour area, where there are also lots of boats & yachts to look at. The views across the Firth of Forth to East Lothian , and over to Elie Ness lighthouse & Ruby Bay are just the icing on the cake. There are also cafes & hotel bars nearby for refreshments & public toilets. The only downside is sometimes it’s a victim of it’s own popularity, and in the summer you can be hard-pushed to get a parking space.Written 21 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pauline GDundee, Scotland63 contributionsWe spent 4 nights here with our tourer van. The facilities were good and the scenery breathtaking.
There could be more water points and shower facilities but the ones that are there are very nice.
There is a lovely park for kids and a game arcade. We did not use the cafe or restaurant so cant comment on that. There is a small shop for basics prices typicl of on site shops.
The beach is nice but I would have thought that the site would keep it a bit tidier to encourage more visitors.Written 9 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The tower was for lady anstruther and it was her changing room. The tower itself is quirky and its worth a visit. Hidden gem !Written 29 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- alibatty🦇Dundee, UK4,840 contributionsAlso known as Elie Parish Church, this is a listed building , with the oldest surviving part being the distinctive clock-tower, which dates to 1726. The body of the church was rebuilt in 1831. An earlier Kirk was built on this site in 1639 by architect William Burn, and the adjoining graveyard 🪦 dates from this period, with many interesting ancient tombstones amongst the well-kept grounds, and a watch-tower at the gates. Inside are “Russell” stained glass windows, as well as four designed by Edward Burne-Jones of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood. This lovely church is still in ecclesiastical use.Written 9 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- BibcayGateshead, UK4,366 contributionsThis is a distinctive wat memorial as its on a corner. The design is good and it's a brilliant tribute to all who fought and died.Written 27 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BibcayGateshead, UK4,366 contributionsAs I said in a previous review I thought it was pricey, I still agree but I understand that a farm shop would be more expensive. The price is worth it though. Top quality stuff with very kind staff.Written 29 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- alibatty🦇Dundee, UK4,840 contributionsThis is the pretty little village green - shaded with trees, and equipped with benches and picnic tables between little flower patches. It’s called the Toll Green , as it historically used to be the site where there was a Toll barrier on where the Toll road once was. The cast-iron structure here , often referred to as a fountain, was actually a cow-tailed water pump designed by George Smith & Co Sun Foundry of Glasgow in 1869. It’s believed to be the only one of it’s kind still in existence. Have a look in the covered bus-stop at the south end of the green, as it’s interior is decorated with lots of historical old photographs of the locality.Written 16 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The course was in excellent condition with a number of fine views across the Firth of Forth to north Berwick area.
Well worth a visit though rather pricey at £100 mid week.Written 19 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kdav1esMotherwell, UK268 contributionsWas at Elie for a week so wanted to do some water sports. Went down a few days earlier to pre-book as we had 5 children in our party. Booked paddle boarding lessons. We did have our own wet suits but at £35 per hour lesson I feel wet suits should be free of charge not hire. The owner is not friendly at all. Clearly don’t need the business and at £35 a lesson with 12 folks they must be coining it in. That being said our kids did enjoy the experience and I would use them again. They’d maybe benefit from some competition.Written 12 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
