It is definitely worth trying to beat the crowds to have the place to yourself as it is so peaceful and really beautiful with amazing views!
There is an excellent view of the arch part way along the trail but just use it asa photo stop and carry on to the end if you can There are often groups of people abseiling down into the arch as it's too difficult...

Beautiful area ideal for picnics with a view , The little house is cute and interesting but the pies are amazing!

We enjoyed the our visit to Fruita and seeing the historic sights and fruit trees and school house and Gifford home.
All of the Fruita area sites are great and worth stopping at - the cabin, the school house, the orchards, etc.... HIt them all if you are passing through.

The petroglyph site has a main viewing stand w/4 mounted binoculars, a push button recording of the history of the petroglyphs and ancient peoples, benches, a walkway for viewing more petroglyphs, and ample parking.
There is a footbridge that allows you to walk to areas where the sights are better so make sure you take the walk.

Along UT-12, this scenic pull off offers visitors some amazing sites of the nearby Henry Mountains, Navajo Peak and the Waterpocket Fold.
It is a spectacular view with a mixture of forest in the vicinity and desert in the distance and mountains in the background.
