Nice to go there to the park close to the sea, both day or night.
There are a lot of very expensive restaurants there.

It is worth to be here during sunset on a winter sunny day to have a 360*open view of all the bay. Then you will have all the blinking lights of the night.

Arriving at Yokohama Port as part of our 14 day Maasdsam cruise encircling Japan, we exited the new Oshanbashi Yokohama Int. Passenger Terminal, using the clean restrooms before walking 400 m to the Silk Museum. Its 2nd floor exhibit($3 each) was well designed but similar to ones we've visited in China.
Proceeding 400 m further, we descended to the Nihon-Odori metro station(42 each) for 2 stations toward Yokohama, exiting at the Minatomirai Station inside the vast Queen's Square shopping complex. We walked the busy and dry corridor, noting all the high-end stores and reasonably priced restaurants. After 400 m and entering the 70 story Yokohama Landmark Tower(no view on this warm rainy day), we crossed the street to this beautiful Museum of Art. After paying $5 each, we took the elevator to their 2nd floor permanent exhibit; Picasso, Ernst Max, Cezanne, Picasso, Salvadore Dali, and many local contributors.
After crossing the street to enter the Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum, we retraced our steps back to the nice metros and walked back to our ship. This was a nice morning tour in Yokohama.

On a hot summer day, it's great to get inside to see what the shopping center in the building has to offer. We saw a giant gundam, we received free gundam goodies, we bought an ice cream that was clearly nothing like the Venetian ice cream they said they offered.

My wife and I dropped by to check this museum out while in Yokohama. What a great time. Although not a large museum , there were lots of hands on exhibits and some displays were in English. The underwater submersibles exhibits were wonderful to see. Good visual effects. If I brought our grandkids to Yokohama, this is a place I would bring them.

We arrived here by accident one day. Its huge, with several tower blocks and shops and restaurants on all floors. Although we didn't buy anything I suspect whatever you want you could find it somewhere her (as long as you managed to navigate around because its so big). I found it a bit overwhelming - I'm not used to 7 floors of shops! There are directions to the local train station and you can get there directly by walking through one of the shopping areas (again a bit confusing as I expected this to be on ground level but it was accessed via the level 3 shops)

The food at the restaurant is good to see and eat! The Museum is big and with many figures to play and photo taking. Nice to know more of the anpanman characters and a great place for the kids to play as there is indoor/outdoor play area.

It has a range of shops - from camper shoes to a pet store. Lots of bubble tea to match the craze. Good supermarket and tiny food places in the basement area. Big bookshop too but all in Japanese. (For English manga - very tiny range but still - head to Tsutaya across the road). Located very conveniently opposite the Yokohama Museum of Art.

Among the several parks in the Minato Mirai area of Yokohama, this is one of the most spacious grassy parks. There is no playground equipment at all, but it is a perfect place to spend some time running around, relaxing, or practicing dance.
As with other coastal parks, the fence along the shore facing Tokyo Bay is about the height of an adult's waist, so it is best to be careful when playing with balls or other objects thrown far away. Also, there are fewer trees than in other parks, so places to rest in the shade are quite limited. You may want to bring a small tent or take other measures to prevent heat stroke, especially in summer.
The park is not a very crowded place throughout the year, especially since there are not many events held there. However, because the coastal area is to the east of the park, it is famous as a sunrise spot, and many people come here on New Year's Day to see the Bay Bridge and the sunrise.

Highly recommended. It is a large firework : appr. 15.000 shells. It is one full hour of the best of the best (19:00-20:00). It is appr 45 minutes from centre of Tokyo with the (F) Fukutoshin line. Make sure you arrive there at 16:30. Take some time to eat there. There is a mall. Head in time to one of the 2 parks at the bay. We went to the south one. It is a bit smaller. There is a section where you have pay an entry fee.

We decided to enter the park (fee 2.000 for adult / 1.000 for child). You get some 1mx1m plastic foil to sit on. The view is open to the bay. At 18:15 many spots were already taken. There are probably many places around the bay from where you can watch for free. To us, it was worth paying the money to enter the park (considering looking for a free place somewhere outside the park with good view might be time consuming in an already crowded area).

We went back from Bashamichi station (you are already in the train when it arrives at the crowded Minatomirai station :-).

The Pacifico Yokohama is part of the Minato Mirai reclaimed project. When built it was the epitome of grace and modernity much of  which is retained..t has a large convention hall wit many affiliated rooms.A very large exhibiting space with multiple faculties without ostentation is there too.The intercontinental hotel is attached to it and the Tokyu and other hotels are not too far.The Minato Mirai train station is an 8 minute walk away and not always easy as that train has long walks attached to it in central Yokohama too particularly at the Yokohama station
A big convenience with a pleasure to attend a conference there

The shopping area here is not anything you will not ever have seen before. But it is inviting and sometimes has special events, like a big gundam hanging in the center of the open area.

A friend of mine had a piano recital in the Small Hall of the Yakohama Minatomirai Hall. It took us only 43 minutes from Ikebukuro to Minatomirai by the Express Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line. It was a beautiful hall. We enjoyed an excellent recital.
