Very engaging and interactive experience at this museum! The guides were very knowledgeable on the history but also had really cool activities at the end (ninja and samurai) to make it a good balance of informative and fun!

This is a famous sightseeing spot in Tokyo called "Golden Gai".
There are many small bars where you can enjoy a variety of drinks.
People from different countries are visiting and you can talk and interact.
It was a very very amaszing place for a valuable experience.

The Kabukicho District was a fun area with a lot of entertainment, food, and shops. I wandered around the area both during the day and night and it was fun to people watch and look at all the lit up signs and lights. This is somewhat the Tokyo I imagined. But with Covid, a lot of restaurants had to close by 8:00pm, so it was pretty quite here at night. There weren't the crowds I expected because of this, which could be a good or bad thing. There is a lot to do in the area, so I feel anyone can find something to do here.

We were out in Shinjuku, navigating the crowds, actually looking for Golden Gai when we turned the corner and there he was hovering above us, Godzilla or Gojira as he is known in Japan. I I was just joking with my wife an hour before I heard Godzilla was somewhere around so it was fun to just run into him. We didn’t visit the hotel or anything but a fun landmark if you’re in the are, not something I would plan on as an activity.

Our flight was at midnight, so we hadn't planned anything too touristy for our final day in Japan. I am so glad that we did this because it was so much fun!

It's 300yen a pop and no communication is necessary. Put on your (shared) gloves, grab a bat and put the coins in the machine. Balls will start being chucked at you.

Go to the cages on the far right for the slower speeds. I'd never hit a baseball in my life, but managed to whack a fair few. There weren't many customers so we spent a lot of time there! Afterwards, we went bowling (5 mins away).

Cons as with most places like this in Japan: SMOKING INDOORS, gag. I wouldn't use the female toilets if I were you either.

This shrine is a very old one in Shinjuku prefecture. But still holding its glory. Mostly visitors & locals come here & drink water from its fountain to fulfill their wishes. Not well maintained .

Coming down from Shinjuku station, you can quite easily spot the Godzilla and get decent view from the street. You can quickly visit the Godzilla cafe at Hotel Gracery, but this Shinjuku area has much more to offer. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to visit.
Summary: interesting area full of life.

A nice walk, but definitely not a must do. Goes by the golden gai, but mostly through residential areas.

Happened to walk around Kabukicho and ran into this food fest. Had a drink and walk around. Lots of delicious meal offerings.

If you're looking for a big department store, Seibu Shinjuku Pepe & Brick Street may not be the most diverse one. There are a lot of neat little shops, in particular a tobacco store where I picked up Kiresu. However, there are better shops to look at in the big shopping mall in the heart of Shinjuku.

This area is very busy at night with plenty to eat, drink and more. There is shopping and sightseeing all around including a robot restaurant and lots of crazy things I did not look into. There is a hotel in the Middle with a lifesize Godzilla on top. Great for photos.

I saw the WiFi rental sign outside so I walked in and rented a WiFi there. I heard it’s a tourist information center certificated by the japan national tourism organization and they told me a lot of useful information about Shinjuku and Tokyo. I heard that there are nice places in Kabukicho and there are places that aren’t nice at all too. So I asked them for a nice place to have dinner. I went there and it was a really good restaurant! I’ll definitely go there for dinner again if I have a chance to visit japan next time.

Omoide no Nukemichi means Secret Passage of Memories. The passage is consisted of very timeworn buildings as if the time has been stopped since world war 2. It's a short and narrow alley, so that you will not be able to forget the images of it. There are crammed tiny drinking dens into such alley.
