The skippers are incredibly kind and professional. They are here for you in case you don’t feel well because of the sea at some periods of the year, and definitely do their best to find whales.

Our driver picked us up early and drove us 100km north, along winding roads through villages with dogs sleeping in the road around every corner.

Eventually we arrived at the Sinharaja Forest Reserve where we met our guide and after a short tuk tuk ride, commenced our three hour trek through the rain forest.

The humidity was insane and we were quickly soaked. The flora and fauna made it worth it though.

On arrival, the guide rubbed rock salt into our shoes to deter the leeches, which was semi-successful.

We saw peacocks, water buffalo, butterflies, eagles, millipedes, fish owl, lizards, fish and a green viper. I said ‘that looks pretty small’ but was then informed a bite can kill you!

Walking behind my wife and watching her jump at every twig thinking it was a snake was one of my highlights!

Also saw durian fruit, jack fruit, cinnamon, white pepper, wild pineapple, and coffee beans before stopping for a provided lunch at a waterfall.

On the drive home, after passing many cows roaming free, we stopped at the Lumbini tea plantation where we were lucky enough to be given a private tour of the factory.

    Recommended.

Booked a tour with ZRI Adventures to swim with the Whales in Mirissa and we did!! Transport was also arranged for, and they even provided snacks and water on board!
Guide and boatman were very experienced hence we were very lucky to have come so close to the gentle giant of the ocean.

Roshan was very professional in his dealing with us for our tour of Yala National park. We were collected on time by our driver who took us to Yala where our park guide took over. Whilst the journey through the park was fairly bumpy, we got up close and personal with elephants and saw lots of wildlife during the trip. We were picked up after the tour with no delay and returned to our hotel safely. Highly recommended!

Udawalawe Safari private tour was very well organised. Pick up from hotel on time with friendly and knowledgeable and friendly driver. Transferred to jeep for private tour of park - very nice tour guide and packed lunch. Very flexible and professional.

We saw lots of elephants and other animals and then a smooth transfer back to hotel.

three hours was completely enough in the park. You should let driver know you want to eat before going to park because there’s no restaurant nearby. The communication was pretty good with the company also the Safari driver was very nice. Do not hesitate to book the tour.

The best ! The site is a 1 minute walk from the beach, and you're within the water in minutes, swimming with the turtles. Beach was not overly busy either - felt like a nice secluded spot, off with the typical tourist radar, with tons of turtles. Highly recommend!

We were picked up from our hotel by a fantastic driver, Dinesh and driven directly to the boat. The process was seamless and we were brought directly back afterwards. The team at BTM also arranged a birthday treat for me, with some cake and beers for afterwards which was very thoughtful and kind. We saw a blue whale, fin whales and lots of dolphins. It was a wonderful experience, however the seas were very choppy and lots of people were being sick on the boat. No fault of BTM of course, but I hadn’t expected that! The service from BTM was faultless and I can’t recommend them as a trip provider enough.

Who would have guessed but It actually worked out pretty smoothly.
Since it is Sri Lanka in 2022 we were lucky there was an open gas station which had gas for us at 5am, but otherwise it was all pretty well planned and carried out.
We started at 4 am, entered the safari at 6ish, finnished at 9am and got to Ella at 11:30.
Our driver was a nice guy, didn‘t speak english but for a couple of words and was talking on his phone during most of the trip. But he drove safely (if you can say something like that about a sri lankan driver) He bought us some fruit and something to drink while waiting for us to finish the safari. A really nice guy.

And well, 80$ are a lot of money, but you get a taxi halfway across Sri Lanka, so, yeah. Better than local busses and a lot less stressfull.

In Udalawawe we had to pay 11.000 Rupies for the jeep, 12.500 as entrance fee (2 persons), 5000 for our guide (that was a tip, since they don‘t get paid and totally depend on tips) and another 1000 tip for your driver if you are nice.

If you have never been on a safari it was definetly worth it. We saw some elephants up close, monkeys, peacocks and other birds, even some leopard tracks in the dirt.

I would do this trip again and would recommend it to anyone who wants to save some time and stress on their trip.
    thank you
