Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

A good first step on the discovery of Guadeloupe's Rhum. The museum gives a good background on the history of rhum on the island, and also a lot of information about the process of making rhum agricole (French style rum from sugar cane juice). While some of the exhibits at the museum are in French only, the large information boards have an English translation on the other side. No English in the upstairs parts of the museum which showcase model boats, insects and some local natural history.
There's also a video which follows the self guided museum. It's about 10 minutes long and shows the rhum making process at Reimonenq. This had a surprisingly good production value, with audio available in multiple languages. It is not possible to see the distillery equipment currently in use, or tour those facilities.
The tasting was okay and included in the price of admission. It included the white rhum, ambre, and 2 varieties of 3yo Vieux, but none of the more expensive bottles.
While it isn't the most exciting tour, or best rhum tasting on the island, I would recommend this as the first step before visiting other distilleries as it has the best explanations of the rhum history and process.

The island is really small so it’s actually a sandbank. Gorgeous water around it. You can relax there and have a swim. I can’t believe that it might be gone soon as it will disappear underneath the waves. We need to stop global warming to save places like this.
On the way you can visit to mangroves. Snorkelling isn’t that great as there are very few fish and the corals seem grey.
On the whole it was a great trip.

Decided to try this beauty instead of our favourite a few miles away and were not disappointed. In fact the beach is split in two by rocks and one side is quieter than the other!

This is one of those walks, Where you feel much better at the end. To begin, As English , We were a bit daunted, with no signs in English, Fortunately other Visitors Told us which way to start, After that we followed some French signs, Got lucky with the sounds of the Waterfall. The walk there really is for fit and agile people,,, Not Mr & Mrs Fatty. The route is ALL Rough, The amount of roots you walk over, is amazing, I have never seen anything like it, Like out of a Horror movie!, Anyway, Near the waterfall you need to cross a river. Choosing the best route is not easy, As often previous walkers wet feet, Will make stones slippery, So look for dryish ones
The waterfall is pretty good, After a lot of rain, It must be amazing,,,But then the path out, will be a nightmare, As you can see deep grooves in the dried mud,,,,Could be a lot of dirty fun.
It was dry when we went, Our trip took 80 minutes, With a 10 min stop at waterfall
Fully recommend, The scenery is amazing

I liked the beach, that was dark brown.

There is often wind here. This is why the trees are not vertical.

At the point, the waves were hitting it constantly.

We had fun and we enjoyed the landscape.

    However, rain would soon come.

    Worthwhile to see!

As soon as i was on the beach, i liked it. There were trees and palm trees.

Many of the people were in the ocean, mostly to swim.

Some like us were walking to enjoy this beach and ocean.

There were some rocks nearby. I always like to explore that.

    This is a worthwhile beach!

Easy two hour walk with our eleven year old kids. I was a bit concerned to not have ‘proper’ shoes but in the end it was easy enough. It hadn’t rained the morning we went but in any case with all the roots and steps there is sufficient footing as long as you are reasonably fit.

From the car park it isn’t clear which is the short and which is the long route. Looking at the sign, the long way is the right most one. The short route is the steep one on the left. They go around in a loop. We went down the long way and back the (steep) short way.

Great beach tucked away off the beaten track. Worth a call in when passing. Lovely sand underfoot with clear water.

Just an uncrowded beach with plenty of trees for protection, facilities for a picnic (pavilions and barbecues) plus 2 restaurants within walking distance. We loved it.

The fountain in front was the site for at least one scene in "death in Paradise". Since the DIP show was our primary reason to come to Guadeloupe, that's why we stopped by - just for external photo.
