Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Did 2 holidays with Footfalls April 26-May 11. First was a Wicklow Way self-guided, Tinahely to Enniskerry and second tour was a small group tour, Ireland SW. Arrangements and services by Footfalls was top notch in both cases. Walking North from Tinahely we saw very few other hikers until May 1. Signage was good in most cases, but a couple of the signposts had been vandalized (stolen?). Best to carry O.S. maps, and my Google Maps Wicklow Way on smart phone worked 95% of the time. We took a rest day in the Laragh-Glendalough area and I would recommend doing this. Lots to see and walk in this area.
The 8-Day easy Wild Atlantic Way was a more relaxing trip.. Hotels were generally ready with our room keys when we arrived and meals involved showing up and ordering. Pay for any alcoholic beverages at the bar after dinner. We were guided by Christoper using a brand new climate controlled 16 pax Mercedes bus. Christopher knows the area well and was full of information about all the sites visited. Linda and I have been doing adventure travel with U.S, and local companies for many years and we would rank Footfalls among the best.

I am just back from a Joyce’s Ireland hiking trip to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. It was an excellent trip in all regards. Joyce and her guide colleague Lesley are smart, personable, humorous, empathetic and organized! The accommodations were excellent, as were the meals. Lesley especially knows the Scotland environs well and taught us a lot about the geologic activity that created the amazing terrain of the Highlands. I would definitely consider another trip with Joyce!

Wet. Muddy. Loved it! Was a wet and rainy day but that made it even better. Loads of muddy tracks and puddles to splash through. Great fun. The instructor was really nice and helpful. Patient and explained the controls well. I’d love to do this again.
