- Karen Thomas4 contributionsI had been so excited to do this walk, it's a serious incline from the very start but so worth it for the views at the top. It is quite steep the whole way up (obviously) but stopping at the grotto for a lil rest helped. I will say take it slow and go at ur own pace, Do NOT TRY TO KEEP UP WITH YOUR FIT HUSBAND.... When we got to the top we just sat and took in the beautiful view, it's just stunning. From the top you can just go back the way you came or you can continue on the loop. The hosts - Maura and Christy - were super accommodating, the terrain was diverse, the views and scenery were breathtaking and the animals, including Missy their dog, were the sweetest. Christy even serenaded us with Irish songs on our way back to base. It is the best way to see the Irish countryside and connect with nature. The deal on the drinks was any 3 for €10, but that wasn't the best part!
