Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- markileeAuckland, New Zealand984 contributionsThe Stone Castle is amazing, unfortunately it was not open for viewing when we were there but the building itself is fascinating, especially being built 100 years ago.
The walk up there through the forest is enjoyable as well as the characters on the way. Carrying on further up, at the back of the castle, the climb is well worth the view, it is spectacular.Written 23 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kaisa HSastamala, Finland3 contributionsOn hot summerday the cool, historic atmosphere of St Olaf is a unique experience in
the middle of finnish countryside. After burned down the church has been re-built again and also been beautyfully decorated with paintings made by modern artists Kuutti Lavonen and Osmo Rauhala. Really worth visiting.Written 3 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lmsk2014Helsinki, Finland842 contributionsThe most famous medieval church of the region is of course the church of St.Olav. However, a short distance from it is an even older and a much larger medieval church, also on a uniquely beautiful spot by the lake.
This church is open every day during the summer. It is quiet and beautiful there, and the drive to the church takes you through narrow and pretty village road.Written 27 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are different rooms in the house and there are pedal cars outside.Written 27 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jan ORTampere, Finland7,439 contributionsPirulanvuori Observation Tower in Northern Sastamala offers beautiful vistas over lakes (Palojärvi, Miekkajärvi and Lavijärvi) and forests. The tower itself is 15 meters high but the top of the tower has an elevation of 112 meters above the sea level. The scenery seen from the tower is depicted on the backside of the Finnish two euro coin. The path from the (small) parking area is 250 meters. It's not recommendable for strollers.Written 19 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
