I feel like overrated, actually it's a myth place, it's nice for who like hill station and riding..The place is cool enough even in th summer season, however don't compare with ooty with this. It will defenetly make disappointed if you come here from far away. But malappuram & calicut peoples can surely have a try. You can visit the nearest destiny cheruppadimala also.

This is one of the beautiful places in Malappuram district. And it is best to visit on November to, January months at morning or evening to watch sunrise and sunset. Mesmerising experience also the snow atmosphere is very that pleasant even we don't be disturbed by the cold and also can take mesmerising photos. Those who wish to visit Kerala and those who are not yet gone to this place I strongly recommend
    to visit this place.

One of the best temples in Kerala which is well known for its great history and colourful annual fest which lasts about 10 days . This temple has a significant connection with 'mamakam' a cultural festival in ancient India which was held in the banks of River bharathapuzha once in every twelve years. even today we can see some remainings of that cultural festival in the temple area.
More over it's a wonderful place to spend your weekend with family in peace.

One of the best place in Malappuram district to spend leisure hours. Should reach around 4PM for getting convenient parking place. Best experience when the 'python' like steps are ascended. Those who can't go through steps can park your vehicle at the top. The table top view is marvellous with a lot of rides for children. Also a lot of adventure activities among which I enjoyed the sky cycling as the best. All rides are to be paid individually. Snack shops are also there. A light and sound show is available in specific days.
Senior citizen may not be able to walk all through. Also differently abled persons has no other way to enjoy. Toilet facilities are also not enough. Still I love Kottakkunnu.

We visited the famous Kadampuzha Bhagavathi temple associated with history on 13 Dec in the AN at 4 PM. Normally there are many visitors during the morning hours up to 12 noon and there is no crowd
in the AN. The temple closes at sunset. The temple has been recently renovated and the steps, about 60 in number, leading to the temple down below have been cemented with railings to help elders. The place is clean with restrooms and restaurants nearby. There is ample parking.

Devasom board rooms are good, spacious. Bedspreads are not sufficient, otherwise for a temple visit all seems to be good. The toilet step is too steep, which will be slightly difficult for old people who are the maximum coming here. You can book the room through online and there is one more private hotel which is also in walkable distance.

Car park is there for some guests, but when the crowd is more ( I heard that at times during festival ) we need to park it very much outside.

Temple Administration, Poojas, Annadhanam, Cleanliness, system are very good. You can have a look at the Bramha and Sivan temple from this temple.

So many places in Kerala are famous beyond the borders, but this place is hidden from the people of next district itself. So beautiful place, even more attractive in monsoon. A 2 tier waterfall and the small climb to the top makes the trip more adventurous and memorable. Ideal for a trip with family or friends or as a couple.
