He was very informative, sharing a lot of history and interesting facts, and was responsive to all our questions and requests. His driving was amazing through horrible traffic, getting us from place to place efficiently. His English was perfect and he was on top of how to get the best photo shots! Unfortunately after we left the canal area a torrential rain shower came through. We couldn’t get out to walk around but the guide still drove us to (or by) everything else and gave very thorough descriptions and stories. Before arriving to our destination, we communicated by text regularly to make sure that he would be at the airport waiting for us at our arrival time. Of course, he was.
Being truly bilingual (English/Spanish) was truly an asset. Also, his knowledge of Panama's history was exceptional. You could ask him anything, and he was able to answer it. He is very patient, and is also a very good, and safe driver, which is necessary n Panama. We were transported in an airconditioned, large, comfortable van.

Mario was an awesome guide who provided me with a lot of great information and it was a wonderful experience to see the ships pass through the canal. Even when traffic became an issue, he tag teamed the tour with his wife and she was a pleasure to be around. The tour guide gave us 1 hour more, since we found traffic.
