What travellers are saying
- AdventureHelsinki, Finland82 contributionsVisited Fiskars with the family, a very cute little town with pretty little houses. There were lots of handicraft shops selling all kinds of items, although we found a lot of items to be over priced in our opinion. We visited a little brewry shop which sold own brewed beers and ciders, the cider was especially good made from local apples. There were more handicraft shops on the main road. A pretty pond covered over with water lilies as well as a glass factory, where you could see the glass being blown, and also a smithy which was very atmospheric. Also there were a few restaurants and smaller establishments for snack type food. A nice stop over place for a couple of hours or so.Written 27 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JariJKKouvola, Finland5,035 contributionsA riverside ironworks was founded here in 1649. Nowadays this Fiskars Village in Fiskari (Raasepori) is full of design boutiques, smithies, restaurants etc. You even find some hotels, a lookout tower, an art exhibition and an arboretum trail there.
However, people often miss Fiskars museum because it is situated a little off the beaten track (address Peltorivi 13). You shouldn't forget the museum. This tiny museum is very interesting. It is located in three houses. You may see sheep and bunnies in the garden.
The museum has a nice cafeteria named Cafe Hammarbacken. Their selection may be very limited but all pastries are homemade, organic and absolutely fresh. The interior of the cafeteria is old (early 20th century), fascinating and very charming.
Parking places are often very full in Fiskars Village. However, you may find free parking places next to this museum.Written 19 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Anna On The RockHelsinki, Finland42 contributionsIt was a real surprise! First when I ordered this cider in Fiskars restaurant I was impressed. Later I found a shop with these product. Last time I really enjoyed cider was in a small town in Normandy. Now I have experienced the similar taste. Highly recommended!Written 8 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TeWeHelsinki, Finland979 contributionsWent here for a glassblowing course and it turned out to be a great experience. We got to produce four items each under the supervision of the owner. Quite nice to be able to do something completely new. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed.
We would strongly recommend this experience.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
