This castello, built in the 13th century and renovated after the second world war, is a beautiful spot privately owned by an aristocratic family that still occupies part of the building. The castle has stunning views of surrounding area and these views alone are reason enough to visit. The castle frequently hosts cultural events but if none is going on during the time you visit the area, make a trip to see the views and walk the walls anyway - it's well worth it.

Denis and his family were so welcoming, and the prosecco was to die for. They are super hospitable and Denis made the biggest effort to tell us all about his craft, the history of prosecco and got us to taste not only his superb wine but also local foods. I will certainly be back next time when I will be in Italy. It was worth the 300km detour, from Slovenia to the Dolomites.

The best Prosecco you have ever drunk. A place non far from Treviso and a place where you can buy best wine at best price !!!|
Believe it's an experience you have to. Same family own Collate castle look for visit. You 'll find almost 6 different Prosecco, Grappa and best of the best ask for Manzoni rosabianco a very very peculiar wine created by professor L. Manzoni in 1928 technical name is Manzoni 2.15 and this is the only place all over the world where this wine is available. The old site are visitable but you have to ask for.
    You'll meet Bacco!!!

We toured on our own, since I was to organize a trip for 6 friends to travel the Strada del Prosecco. This was a fact finding mission and we went to visit all major places for wine tasting and came to Refrontolo, Soligo, Follo, San Stefano, San Pietro di Barbozza, Valdobbiadene and further on the Old Prosecco Street to Gua, Combai, Miane, Follina..etc.etc. The beautiful rolling hills and especially in the Cartizze area with the vineyards and wineries are spectacular. Can' t wait for the next time in September.
