This building holds six floors with myriad sections, all running into each other, mostly devoted to young women's clothing. Merchandise is presented poorly with most items crowded together. Prices seem to be on the low side, especially when compared with the tags I've seen in the luxurious Ginza department stores, and don't seem to be of high quality. But based on the large number of shoppers I saw on a recent visit, the goods must meet a need.
I entered to look for a hat to keep the sizzling sun at bay and ended up buying an umbrella for the same purpose. It cost 1,000 Y, about $8.80 U.S. But I also headed to the basement food hall, a go-to place for those who live in the nearby area. The top floor has a 100 Y store, similar to the $1 stores in the United States.
Shopping here could be combined easily with a visit to the adjacent Ameyoko shopping street. AbAb stands just a few minutes' walk away from both the Keisei Uneo and JR Uneo railroad stations.
