My wife and I booked this tour during our honeymoon in order to see as much of Tokyo as possible in one day. We were thrilled with how everything turned out! Guy, our tour guide, was outstanding! He had an itinerary in mind, but he was also open to customizing the day to fit our interests. He was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Some of the highlights of our day were touring Senso-ji, a visit to the Tokyo Skytree, sushi at Tunao, a stop in the Ginza district, hanging out at the Shibuya Crossing, shopping in Harajuku, and a lot more. It was an incredible tour. We never felt rushed at any of the stops. Guy was very professional and had the same energy and enthusiasm from the start to the end of the tour. He was incredible! This is definitely a great way to see Tokyo! Don’t miss out!

Janet was great! Knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. She showed me the restaurants, street art and riverwalk around Naka Meguro station. I had a fantastic time.

I booked 2 tours from Viator and they ended up being from this same company, (Japan Awaits), which was great. I had no idea at the time of booking but both of the tours turned out to be amazing so I'm glad this company is so consistent with their tours.

I don't normally write reviews but since these tours were such great experiences, I feel like I need to write a review for this company. First, I will write a review for the Ebisu Food Tour (the other tour we went on was the Aged Whiskey Tasting Tour). The tour ended up being much more than just a food tour. I have been to other food tours and this one is very different since you get to see a lot of the sites and attractions in the area and not just eat food the entire time.

I also really enjoyed how personal this tour was. It ended up only being the 3 of us in the group and they still went through with the tour. We met the tour guide at Ebisu Station and we went to the Ebisu Garden Place and got to see a great view overlooking Tokyo there. And if you like beer, you'll have the option to visit the Yebisu Beer Museum, which was perfect for our group since we love beer. It was the highlight of the tour for us. After visiting the museum, we went to this alley with lots of food stalls and were able to try some tasty Japanese food there such as okonomiyaki pancake and skewers. We were stuffed and after trying the different types of food, we decided we wanted something sweet and the tour guide took us to a very tasty local ice cream shop.

The whole tour was amazing. We loved the food and being able to talk to our very sweet tour guide who took us around to see the local side of Tokyo. It was very interesting to learn about Ebisu and why the Japanese people love this area and why so many people want to live here. Having a better understanding of local culture is not something you can experience on your own so I highly recommend this Ebisu food tour.

I had a fabulous day - not only did I see the sights but I was also able to ask lots of questions and learn about Japanese culture along the way.

My tour guide was very nice and he accommodated me throughout my trip. We weren't able to see everything due to covid but I still had a great time. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience tokyo without being part of a group. It was well worth the cost and would do it again.

I had an incredible first day in Tokyo taking in all the must see with Mutsuko from Viator. She taught me how to navigate the trains and subway. Thank you for a very memorable day!!

This tour was a blast! Gaku is very friendly and provides you with interesting trivia while you are cycling from spot to spot (5-20 minute rides). It made so much fun to cycle through the city with solid bikes, like an interactive sight-seeing tour where not only the most popular spots are addressed but also some smaller, lesser known places which only the locals would visit.
One break will be at a full-fledged supermarket where you have a variety of lunch options to pick from, which can then be enjoyed with a nice view over the bay.
I can definitely recommend this tour, which is one of the highlights of my trip to Japan!

After two weeks of travelling and experiencing the culture and history of this beautiful country, our last day was empty of excursion. So my son did a little research and found this option, we all said yes, so we booked a session.
Now I am no where an artist and when the broken bowl was placed in front of me, I was nervous, but the most relaxed & patient teacher talked us all through each step to put together our own unique souvenir.
During our experience, the history was explained and the experience was more appreciated.
100% recommended if you want to truly experience what Japan is about

Had a great time; the guide was entertainment and friendly. We’re lucky to get a good glimpse of Mt Fuji. The only downside is that in the notice of departure and assembly of place, there was no time indicated. It was frustrating to find out in the internet.

Its one of the most knowledgeable tour I had when I visited Tokyo. He can communicate well in english language. He provided us detailed story of the whole shrine. And lastly, he entertains questions and give us time to take pictures. He even taught us how to pray in the shrine. So, I suggest to those planning to visit the place, go and get a tour guide to deeply understand the history of the place.
