Nice place not very crowded. Will recommend to those with a bit more time in tokyo. Easy to get to via the metro.

Right next to Konagome station. Entrance fee is 300 Yen and the park is a nice stroll.
Some nice Autumn foliage but not overly spectacular.
Good spot for a stroll away from the hustle and bustle.

Koishikawa Korakuen is a beautiful, peaceful spot - I thoroughly enjoyed wandering and sitting there, even in August when there's little colour or flowers. It would be magical in autumn. Lots of mosquitoes though ...

Went to the A's-Mariners game in March. Ended up being Ichiro's final MLB game. The stadium was nice enough but it felt a bit muggy. I had heard that there is no air conditioning in the dome. The food selection was kind of blah. Enjoyed that wine, beer and high balls were sold by vendors in the stands.

University of Tokyo is a big university, it has a very big land with big trees everywhere. So calm, quite, and also relaxing. And it where I found the reunited statue of hachiko and Prof Ueno.

Very stunning architectural cathedral with some interesting relics from the magi (Cologne Cathedral is its partner), John Paul II and St. Faustina. Very goad we went to see it.

This hotel owns a beautiful small garden behind the hotel building. You may visit it even when not staying in the hotel. It's free of charge and you can enter it through the hotel lobby. Around a pond there are some paths to walk around and you can walk up to a pagoda on a small hill. It's a peaceful place in the busy neighbourhood. In the past years from late autumn up to December the garden was beautifully illuminated – that's even more atmospheric. If you are in the area of Hotel Chinzanso, then don't miss to visit St. Mary's Cathedral, a very interesting modern church built by architect Kenzo Tange.

We were walking from the national museums to the Japan Rail Station and passed by this beautiful temple from 456 in a serene beautiful garden.

Amusement in the heart of the city. The park is free, you just need to pay if you want to ride. Many restaurants and shops around. The design of the Ferris wheel is pretty unique.

Pretty cool shopping area in Bunkyo-ku. Lots of restaurants (including Bubba Gump Shrimp) and shopping. The roller coaster is also pretty cool as its cuts through some of the shopping building. A few other rides there as well and right next to Tokyo Dome!

There is a good cafe/dining in the Civic Center for the public workers but anybody's welcome to get in for a cheap and decent lunch. There is a fee observatory, too.

Toyo Bunko is not so popular but very valuable, well maintained and active museum in Tokyo.
The most important collection of this museum is the Morrison Collection which was painstakingly amassed by George Ernest Morrison during his 20-year residency in Beijing. Contains approximately 24,000 volumes in Western languages dealing with China and its neighbors and includes about 1,000map/lithograph titles, about 7,200 pamphlets , and over 120 periodicals. Of particular value are 54 editions of Marco Polo's Description of the World including a copy of the first Latin printing in 1485. (sited from the web) From January 30 – March 19, 2019, the special exhibition “Wisdom of India.” is in session.

It’s a spacious and peaceful temple precinct, not too far from Ikebukuro. As I used to work near the temple many years ago, I was so glad to visit the temple during my stay in Tokyo.

The story became legend and a small statue was erected in the dog’s memory in front of Shibuya Station. The surrounding plaza is Tokyo’s most popular rendezvous point to visit as well.

Origami Kaikan is a small gallery and shop dedicated to making and promoting the art of origami. You can take classes, buy beautiful washi paper and origami and even see the washi being dyed. When we went there was an engaging origami master who made several sweet creations for my daughter.
