Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- TheaNew York City, NY4 contributionsDidn’t even realise we had reached the botanical garden, we were still looking for the place whilst standing in the middle of it. Nothing special really, it was very small and unfortunately the art gallery wasn’t open. Luckily the basilica (San Martino) nearby was. So we went there.Written 18 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rachanne28Leeds, UK16 contributionsHuge clean family friendly beach. No huge waves. Lifeguards at busy times. Beach cleaned every day. No toilets but plenty of bars and restaurants around the beach.Written 11 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris TCounty Durham, UK39 contributionsWe visited in September and it was a real surprise- what a lovely place so peaceful. The audio guide was in English which was helpful. Just take a little time to wander around the town too.Written 20 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Zatanna ZMadrid, Spain205 contributionsAlthough we were in August (peak of tourist) there was a lot of room in the beach. Sand is soft and the beach is very clean. Very quiet.Written 17 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bandit-OneLucerne, Switzerland10,512 contributionsSpains North has an amazing coast. There are amazing walks and hikes all around. Our favourite part of Spain. The coastlines are breathtaking.
And this Paseo here is a real highlight of the North. It's also suitable for strollers, wheelchairs since it's easy accessible, flat and easy to walk. We started walking at the Port of Foz. And further west you could continue walking longer along the coast.
The section in Foz has lots of fantastic views and landscapes. And the colours makes you feel like you're in the Caribbean. And all of that with only few visitors. There are locals and national tourists, but really few international tourists around. Suprising, because the town offers good food, the beaches are sensational and the coastline is amazing.
There are small hidden beaches along the way, rock formations and just incredible views. If you are in the North, then you should really check out this area here. There is also a nice coastal walk on the other side of the Ria de Foz, going east (starting in the village of Barreiros). Next time in Spain we will definitely spend a few days in Foz itself to enjoy the coast a bit more.Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is not a typical castro because the buildings were rectangular rather than circular as they are at Santa Tecla and Baroño but in common with those sites it is jutting out into the sea. Also this a much later sight than the others and according to the interpretive information, thee were Roman style paintings in the buildings.Written 24 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a nice pathwalk, where you can obviously walk, relax, eat or drink something and see beautiful views of the sea. Also, you can go to bath or sunbath in the nearest beach. We came here to walk after lunch in an excellent restaurant called O Lar.
