What an incredible dive. Had so much fun passing through windows, doors, and level changes in the ship. Awesome coral and fish - even saw a massive loggerhead turtle which was very special.

We (3 families with kids age 4-11) visited midweek late June and had a great time. There is an older gentleman at the front who gave my boy a cayman coin which was really super kind. Make sure to take the map and decide which activities are on your must see/do list since some of them close early (ie the snorkel experience with the turtles). My boy especially loved petting the smaller turtles in the tanks. The on site restaurant has a great variety of lunch items including many kid friendly options as well as adult beverages. The swimming park area was a nice break and the kids loved the slide. We spent about 4-5 hours there and it was definitely worthwhile.

Our teenagers loved the experience in the water with the dolphins; they did the Royal swim and got to shake hands, kiss, ride and “Superman” out of the water with the dolphins. They loved it; the trainer was good and engaging. $160/person.

The challenges come with booking and photos. Note that all bookings online is done through the corporate office in Mexico and has really no engagement or communication with each individual dolphin location. After multiple emails , I finally got in touch with someone at corporate via WhatsApp who was able to modify my reservation. We bought the “discounted” pictures online via corporate at $55/person and then arrived on-site to cheaper prices. Getting the pictures online via the provided code was actually very easy after they were uploaded the next day. I wish they would have taken a few more pictures but they still turned ok.

    Beautiful Beach..
We walked along the shore line enjoying the calm waves. The water was calm and warmed as soon as you got use to it. The sand was semi soft but I would still wear beach shoes.

We visited Barkers in February 2019, and the road in was horrible. It was so full of ruts and pot holes that our kids got car sick and we had to pull over to throw up. This time, we packed some buckets for the ride, just in case but we’re pleasantly surprised that they had fixed the roads. This makes the drive in quite pleasant and much more timely. Both times, we enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables watching the kite surfers practice. This time we even got to see the horse tours take their horses out in the ocean. This is a really nice spot to sit and relax and enjoy the breeze and the view, and highly recommended now that the road has been fixed!

Reports say "permanently closed", but hope springs eternal. If they re-open, plan to visit each time we're in country. (actually visited earlier than site allowed to report)

I passed this church at the intersection of Hell Road and Town Hall Road, on my way to visit the Hell gift shop. I thought that the architecture was interesting and stopped for a few photos. The main highlight of the building is the bell tower above the main entrance. The church is painted cream with white arch shaped windows and double doors at the front. The bell tower does not have a bell on display, but a railing and a pyramid shaped roof topped by a white cross.

Best photos of the church are probably taken from the opposite side of the road where the 500th anniversary monument is located. From this area the palm trees and a fir tree which are next to the church can be captured in the photo. If you are in the area visiting hell, this is a good photo op.

The Scholars Park is located at the intersection of Birch Tree Hill Road and Stadium Drive. The Park has a fence of low cut stones with a metal railing on top. The black double metal gates have the park name at the top. The tree trunks are painted blue and yellow, which are the colours of the district’s Division 1 football team, for whom the park is also named. These colours are repeatedly used throughout the park. This is a free park where you can sit under one of the many trees or on the benches.

It is ideal for family gatherings and picnics. The southern area of the park has a large playground which children will enjoy. Look out for the blue iguana sculpture near to the playground entrance. The park was opened in 2001, and the facilities were improved in 2012. Not a must see, but a nice quiet place to relax . If you head back towards the intersection of Hell Road, the 500th anniversary monument and Ministry of Peace Church can be viewed.

The 500th year anniversary monument is located at the intersection of Reverend Blackman Road and Hell Road. It is on the grounds of the Health center. The monument is divided into three areas; walls of recognition to the left and right, and a columnar structure in the center. The wall to the left has the inscription,"Dedicated to the seafarers of West Bay". At the base of this area is another plaque which states that the monument was dedicated in 2003, which was the 500th anniversary of the Cayman Islands. The wall of recognition has the names of residents who contributed to the development of West bay, and are categorised in different areas.

A similar wall of recognition is to the right. In the center, is a monument with the years 1503-2003 inscribed. There are four paths leading to the monument which have red bricks with the names of donors. Designs on this column include a fisherman, sea turtle, cat boat and palm tree. This monument is a short walk from the popular "Hell" attraction, and interesting if you want to learn about local culture.

The Botswain Point lighthouse is one of the few remaining lighthouses on Grand Cayman. A beacon was initially constructed at this site in the 1930's but has been replaced by this more modern version. This area is easily reached by local bus WB2 or WB3. The lighthouse was an important feature on the Cayman shores, but all have been gradually decommissioned due to improvements in naval technology.

The lighthouse is not a must visit, but if you are interested in these rare sights on the island, it is worth a photo. I had previously visited the lighthouse monument at the cruise port in George town and the historic East End lighthouse and park. If you get off the bus here, it is a long walk to the nearest attraction, as the turtle farm is 1 km west and the Hell site,1.2 km south.

This eatery is literally in their back yard overlooking the water from a bluff. The meals are homemade but a bit pricey for what you get. We had Cayman style fried chicken. It was very tasty, especially with their homemade hot sauce. I can't say that I would go out of my way to eat there a second time.

Diving with Sonia and Fulvio was an incredible experience. My 11-year-old and I journeyed on five dives with them, including a night dive. With their genuine warmth, deep knowledge and expertise of the sea, and lively personalities, our dives with them were an absolute joy! They were wonderful with divers at all levels (and ages) of experience. I would highly recommend them!

We had a wonderful trip! Great captain and boat! We were interested in lobster diving, our planned trip had been cancelled, and the captain was able to set us up with a different charter the next day.

We chartered Catch the Cat for the day in Grand Cayman. The crew was amazing. Kurt was the best captain! Super attentive, knowledgeable, and the nicest people. Our first stop was the Reef where we got to snorkel and see a ton of beautiful fish an coral reefs. They had all the snorkel gear and Life vests for a safe and exciting experience. Next we went to Stingray City where we walked out on the Sandbar and got to pet the sting rays. Pierre was an amazing guide in the water teaching us how to pet and feed the beautiful giants. Next we went to find starfish on a beach at the far point of the island. There were hundreds of them in the shallows. The crew provided chips and fruit on board for a snack and also allowed us to make a stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch. We had 4 kids on board under the age of 5 and felt extremely safe. I would highly recommend this team and this experience for anyone visiting the Caymans.

This was the best part of my trip! I booked the ride and swim. We first rode along the beach and then they take the saddles off for the swim part. I recommend bringing bug spray! Put it on before your ride and make sure you reapply when you get out of the water! I forgot to reapply after we got out of the water and got eaten alive. 😩 But I did not realize I was bitten so many times by the mosquitoes until I got back to my resort. I guess the ride was so much fun, I totally was unaware.
