My husband and I travelled to Latrobe specially to visit the Australian Axeman's Hall of Fame, as my husband's grandfather was a world champion axeman, and we were told his name was recorded in the display. I can only say that this establishment offered us a total display of lack of respect for any of the great Australians who have... More

Today was our second attempt to see the Axemen's Hall of Fame. Apparently it's closed on Mondays. Other visitors had managed to be allowed in to see the displays so we followed them. Interesting memorabilia and stories and a well stocked souvenir shop, but we couldn't buy anything. The information I found on the internet said it was open daily... More

A lot of history has gone into this building. The giant platypus outside can't be missed. There is a lot to see and read about here. Well worth the visit.

Due to recent floods and closure of the local reserve we found out that the 'platypus experience' is is no longer operating out of this site. Also the info centre located here is not open every day - I think it was 3 days per week only. After our disappointment that the local reserve and 'experience' were closed we were... More

Wow what a disappointment, Had my sister over for a visit and I thought it would be nice to have a look at the craft and have coffee and cake. The craft was lovely and people very friendly BUT Besides the girl that served us , the cafe wasn't great. The extra strong coffee my sister ordered was really just... More

Dear Lesley V, Many thanks for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed the markets & the service you received in the café. We are however disappointed to hear that our food & coffee wasn't up to our usual high standards. If you had let us know at the time we would of gone above and beyond the call... More
