It is a long drive from Swakopmund and the light on the escarpment is quite stunning at dusk and Dawn but not really worth the long detour. The path up to the escarpment viewing point is very dangerous.

We visited from Otjiwarongo which is within easy reach. The staff we met at reception were pleasant and helpful. You pay at reception then drive up to the beginnings of the trails. It's easy to find the start of the trails but from there you...More

Quite a steep and sometimes treacherous climb over rocks and rubble, but stunning views. It is imperative to wear proper trainers or hiking footwear!

Save your time for better places in Namibia. The scenery is nice, the walk up (45min) is nice but, I wouldn't come here again.

Poor service, poor restaurant, poor management, arrogant and lazy staff. Only the landscape is beautiful and it's sad to see that they are not using their potential....

The layout and surroundings quite beautiful, unfortunately not well kept. The chalets are spacious and in good condition. The hike to the plateau is well worth it, better still to go on the 3 night plateau hike. The hike is easy and has good overnight...More

Yes. You can hike up to the plateau on a sign-posted path. It is not very strenuous and the views are breathtaking. Definitely worth your while
