This is just WOW!! .... and a MUST. You don't have to pay for the Cloud forest to do this part. Thoroughly recommend!

This is a must if you are near here. The cafe hang bird feeders outside the building which I believe has sugar and water in them. The hummingbirds go nuts for this. We even had... read more

This is a must if you are near here. The cafe hang bird feeders outside the building which I believe has sugar and water in them. The hummingbirds go nuts for this. We even had some of thebhummingbirds balancing on our hand to get the drink. We didn't have time to do the Cloud Forest but then we had done... More

We visited the hummingbird garden at Selvatura Park, as well. It was nice, but it is free to visit this cafe. There are innumerable hummingbirds everywhere. There are multiple feeders hanging and the hummingbirds are everywhere. If you stand really still with your finger near a feeder, they may perch on your finger while they feed. It's an amazing experience.... More

Fantastic place to visit, intended on staying for a short while but ended up there most of the afternoon. There are bird feeders located around the outside of the Coffee shop and you can get right up close to the Humming birds as they feed, gives great opportunity to take plenty of photographs. There most be at least 8 or... More

This place is wonderful, there are bird feeders in three areas and the hummingbirds are plentiful. We watched and photographed them for quite a while and enjoyed it immensely. And it is actually free of charge. Stop by and spend some time with the birds, you'll be glad you did.

Some locals called it "Monteverde's airport" because there are so many hummingbirds landing... and they were right. It's unbelievable how many hummingbirds can be gathered in one spot. Coffee at the cafe nearby was good too.

Beautiful place, so calm. Could stay there for ages just watching the birds. Located in a nice cool place when it's hot too!

As much a I dislike those garish red plastic feeders, the do the job of attracting these amazing birds. The hummingbirds are free to come and go as they please. You can stand there, get buzzed by, dive bombed and barely missed by their fly by. Plenty of photo opportunities but remember, these little dynamos barely stand still. They have... More

15 different species of hummingbird by the dozen. Get nose to nose with a hummingbird and take photos to treasure. Great coffee and food.

We stopped in after hiking in the reserve. Just amazing. The hummingbirds are zooming around like little fighter jets. You can get very close up for great pictures and videos. If I could post videos here I'd upload some cool slow motion stuff. You MUST stop in the cafe for coffee. Boom pow wow good.

Free. Fun. Entertaining to watch them zip around. Feeders attract lots of them. Quiet peaceful setting at entrance to monteverde cloud reserve. If you like hummers, its a must see. Kids will love it too. Easy pic's with iphone.
