Love to go up to the KVR early and enjoy nature. I always see animals, jackrabbit, deer, marmot, gopher, pika and a variety of birds. Plus a big treat in June is all the wildflowers. Go before 9am for the best viewing.

A very leisurely lakeside trail connecting Okanagan Falls to Penticton. The trail is totally flat and follows along the west shores of Skaha Lake. Trail is gravel but good for all ages.

At a gradual 2% climb, anyone can rid or walk this trail. Beautiful views around every corner and an added bonus of gliding down when you head back. Of course if you decide to go down first the trip back is an easy journey.

We have been to Penticton many times and I am not sure why we have never been on the KVR before! We went for a little walk with the kids and had a great time. They loved exploring and seeing the clay cliffs. We will...More

This was a great tour. The volunteers work very hard to provide a family friendly experience. It would have been perfect had the banjo player played Crazy Train.

A great ride from Penticton towards Naramata and beyond. Since its an old rail corridor the grade is always reasonable. The further you go the more you need a bike with wider mountain bike tires as the trail gets a little rough and some sand...More

To celebrate a large milestone birthday, I decided to do the self-guided cycle tour from Midway to Penticton along the KVR. Paula did a great job of organizing accomodation, gear shuttles, detailed maps and day by day descriptions of what to expect and where. I...More

Set off from the lakefront in Okanagan Falls and rode to downtown Penticton, about 22 km. The trail is well marked, and, as it is an old rail bed, has very little grade to it. That said, the scenery is very picturesque, and it is...More
