Cool climate in these days. But may be hot also. You should bring food n beverages. There's only one cafe and not enough selections there. There are too play ground a and you should pay to play there. Should call and reserve earlier the play area. Nice viewing. Can go by your own vehicle and a car park there. But... More

The visit, although short, was a total delight. I highly recommend getting a tour guide with you as it is worth getting all the explanations and some curiosities pointed to you.

Can see the first rubber plants and fine orchids. Full of lovers. Many not behaving the way expected from Sinhala Buddhists. Not a suitable place for a decent family with children due to unsocial behaviour of lovers.

Also you can have a boat ride in the artificial lake besides the garden. Children's play area is ok but some of them are... More

The Botanical Garden was very welcoming from the start. The information gave a clear idea about the historical importance of the garden (including the first rubber tree). All the trees were labelled clearly. The wide expanse of the garden allowed lots of romantic strolls by local couples - and there was a very high quality cricket game going on in... More
