Average attraction, rough surf hurt our visit

On the day we went the waves and surf were rough which meant no snorkeling . They have no control over the weather. The shop was nice and the tour of the museum was interesting... read more

On the day we went snorkelling there were lots of youngsters kissing and cuddling in the area - a multi purpose attraction? There was some wind about so you had to be careful getting in and out of the rock areas with the waves. Did see some sea life but expected to see more as it is a protected reef.... More

A bit windy during our stay, so not best conditions for snorkelling. Didn't see any live coral. Free though with basic wc & shower, also souvenir shop selling t-shirts etc.

On the day we went the waves and surf were rough which meant no snorkeling . They have no control over the weather. The shop was nice and the tour of the museum was interesting. An average activity to use a couple of hours out of the sun. The best part was the play area for the kids and all... More

Pretty place alongside the boardwalk. Has a protected reef. There's a shop to hire snorkelling gear.

The weather and waves can make sea entry and exit a challenge here but once out there if the sand is not too churned up there is some great snorkelling , coral growing and fish ( not the Maldives but not bad at all ) . Sundays there are a lot of locals other days it was reasonably quiet

I went to Folkestone with a sense of trepidation after reading negative reviews on TripAdvisor. But I have to say it is great place to enjoy the underwater delights of Barbados. The reef is roped off, so no jet skis can come thundering past unaware of your presence, unlike most of the nearby beaches. We snorkelled for a couple of... More

We just loved our day at the marine park. We visited different beaches on the south and west coast - in the marine park we defenitely saw most fishes and beautiful corals. Worth a visit.

Highlight of this spot was the monkeys swinging and playing in the trees. We didn't bother with Marine's Museum. Entrance fee is only BDS$5.00. Lots of crabs on the rocks. Not a pretty park but along the water is nicer.

Little park with tall trees and shadows, where you can park a car, There is a nice beaches with walk board, shower and toilets (closed at 6pm). Beach is good for snorkeling and swimming, Couple restaurants around. There is a little museum with 5$ admitting and rent of equipment for snorkeling.

Close to shore, this small reef is being smashed by people trampling it. The wildlife suffers. It is shallow water, so beware of drifting onto the reef while snorkelling - plenty have and then stood on the coral. There is fire coral too, so perhaps some pay-back.
