My girlfriend and I spent our last afternoon of her surprise Birthday weekend at the Rancho Loco. THE most engaging group of individuals ever. We really enjoyed the company and instruction of Junny. We ride about 5 miles into the Aruban countryside, down to a natural pool in a beach. It was fantastic, great sites and well behaved horses. Great for beginners.

We had a wonderful family ride with Rancho Loco. I chose them after reading other reviews about how great they are with children, as my son was going for his first ride, and they didn't disappoint. The guides made him feel comfortable and relaxed, and it was clear how much they love their horses. The entire ride was amazing, and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to Aruba. If you're considering booking a ride, don't hesitate to go with Rancho Loco!

One of the most fun things I can remember doing, and the best vacation riding experience we’ve had. The guides were excellent, the horses were fun, views incredible and the natural pool was an adventure not to be missed. I wish I brought a snorkeling mask like some people did as there are quite a few fish you can see even from above the water. I could have stayed there all day; the water was so nice. I’m glad I wore a long sleeve rash guard and leggings for the horse riding so I didn’t have to worry about burning. The sun is intense during the ride, though the breeze kept it pleasant. I’d love to do this again sometime. 10/10 would recommend!

My family and I (kids are 11 and 9) did the Amazing Natural Pool tour with Rancho Loco. It was about a 60-75 min ride from the ranch to the Natural Pool on the east side of the island. We had 3 guides and 10-12 riders in our group. It was nose-to-tail riding, mostly at a walk with some limited chances to trot and canter.
The horses were very well-behaved, and the scenery was great!

It was an amazing experience.. They are so kind and friendly. They take the time to teach you and make you feel very comfortable. I was so impressed the time they took with a little girl in our group. I so recommend you add this to your trip ..

Fantastic ride to the natural pool on the east coast of Aruba!! The scenery was fabulous, and the guides were excellent! I've been riding for >40 years, including lessons, jumping, and on riding vacations. During that time, I've been on many many trail rides. Andreas gave the best introduction I've ever heard for people who have limited experience - this helped to settle my friends who have limited experience. Meredith and Sarah were both very helpful and customized the experience for me and others in our group. Before, during and after the ride, it was evident that this organization REALLY cares for its horses, and their riders. The horses were well cared for and well fed; before our ride, the horses were saddled up with loose girths and waiting for us in a shady open ban. After the ride, their saddles were removed and they were hosed down to cool them off - before getting ready for a group in the pm. Many other stables leave their horses in the hot sun before and between rides.

This ranch was run by a family; had lots of adorable and friendly dogs that were well taken care of. Horses looked well. They made sure to pair everyone to the right horse and the ride was so safe and amazing with beautiful views. Something that you cannot experience anywhere else. Galloping through the natural park. Wonderful stop at the natural pool. They ensured safety of all the riders while making sure all were enjoying themselves.

Hi quick question how long is the tour for? I'm trying to figure out what my options will be since I will also be in Aruba on a cruise and I'm on a time crunch. I want to take this tour but I also want to spend some time at the beach so I'm wondering if that will even be possible.
Thank you!

The cruise terminal is 30 minuets from the ranch so that would be 1 hour round trip. The natural pool tour time is +/- 2.5 hours. You also have to factor in the time it takes to mount the horses. Realistically you are looking at 4 hours.

How deep is the water in the natural pools? I'm not the strongest swimmer and wondered if I need a life jacket.
RanchoLocoAruba

The Natural Pool is around 5 meters or 17 feet deep at its deepest point, but this depth fluctuates with the tides. A majority of the pool is too deep to stand for the average person. However, the ranch does have life vests available upon request.

I went on this tour back in 2000 when it was Rancho Delcampo. I LOVED it!!! Now revisited Aruba with my children and would love them to experience this tour however I do remember the horses stampeding down a steep hill and galloping on the beach....(I felt like I was going to fall off) though a little scary it was my favorite tour I've ever done. My daughter is 13 but skinny and short....would she be safe in a one of these horses and do they still stampede or is it more of a manageable trot?

Hi Kerrie!
When I did it they went as fast as we wanted to go. As long as you let them know, I think it would be a great experience. H
The horses were very well trained.
Sorry for the delay- I never open this app!

Will be taking this excursion & am an experienced rider. I hate to think about wearing pants while riding, using my beach towel would be fine for me. Do you require pants or are we able to dress as we like? Also, upon re-entry to the US, you are asked if you visited a farm or were around livestock (I've heard they will have to disinfect the shoes you wore), does this fall under that category?

I wore shorts and am an experienced rider. I did not mention any livestock. Have fun.
