Some friends and I got our advanced diving with west bay divers. We had a great time. Not only did we get to experience an amazing place to dive but I couldn’t imagine a better instructor, Eva. Really an amazing person and super knowledgeable. I can’t recommend this enough.

Two weeks of fabulous scuba diving with the West Bay crew. Great boats/captain, great divemasters, and Angel at the office was super helpful. One of the best organizations we've gone diving with.

Safety first, of course. Unfortunately, these days, there are two kinds: pandemic safety, and diving safety. West Bay Divers takes both very seriously. On the first, everyone is wearing face masks unless they are wearing dive masks. They insist you and the other guests do too, and the first order of business each day is to have everyone sanitize their hands, take everybody’s temperatures, and make sure nobody is feeling sick. They keep the dive groups small. On the second (and more fun) kind, these folks are a PADI 5-Star shop and it shows. They pay careful attention to less experienced divers and are not afraid to call out those with more experience who might overlook a safety step. This makes everyone more comfortable and relaxed, which is the point of a vacation after all. Ok, enough of the safety stuff. The people are fantastic! Eva and Joel were wonderful, friendly, fun, and charming divemasters. Both very experienced and each a pleasure to be with. I’d say the same about Capt. Hazel, and it would be true, but he’s so cool he wouldn’t admit it. Angel, who is also a great guy, ran the on-land operation with great communication and precision. Tight ship. Thanks Eva, Joel, Hazel, and Angel. I feel like I have friends on Roatan. Finally, I’ll point out how well they cater to a mixed crew. This time, we were two couples including two AOW divers, one certified diver that hadn’t been diving in 20 years, and one person that took the open water course with West Bay Divers while we were there. We got custom, concierge-level service and attention on all fronts. If you’re looking for a place to take a PADI class, this is it! If you have 1,000 dives under your belt and want to push the "Easy Button," this is still it!

We were there on a missions trip and our day off was spent at the beach where West Bay Divers are. We rented equipment from them and it was very reasonable and in great shape. I will be back for the month of March and if money allows I will try snorkeling. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I have been wanting to try scuba diving, so when we booked our Royal Caribbean Western Caribbean cruise on Symphony of the Seas, we figured this would be the perfect time. We received a tip about West Bay Divers from my cousin who visited Roatan a previous year, and recommended them. This was initially why I decided to go through them. First, I want to say that they did a really great job taking care of our transportation. I did not worry once about getting from and back to the cruise port in a timely manner. The transport company they use is really good and reputable. When we reached West Bay Divers, they were super kind and professional. Ivette was our dive instructor and she totally took care of us. She made sure we understood everything about the dive before we headed out. I think she could tell I was a little hesitant about it at first, so she took extra care to make sure I was comfortable and knew what I was doing. She took us around beautiful coral reefs and pointed out pretty fish. It was a really great time. She even inspired us to come back to Roatan again and get scuba certified at West Bay Divers in the future! We know we can trust them as a company, and Ivette was really passionate about scuba diving and kind/caring, so I would definitely go back there again. Thanks, West Bay Divers, for helping our first dive ever to go so well! We can't wait for our next dive!!!
