This village is so worth finding! Just a charming, picturesque place that we wish we could have stayed in. Not overwhelmed with shops and restaurants although they are available. A very small place but you don't feel like it is as you wander through the meandering streets. The church had a very empty, unused feeling to it but was still... More

This is a small village but delightful to wander for an afternoon. The church, like the rest of the town is very quaint. The town has been very well restored and very different to other villages we have visited in the french countryside. It is worth a visit. There are a number of places to stop for lunch or an... We had been recommended to visit by our hosts, and called whilst passing. The village is set back from the road and could easily be missed if you weren't aware it was there. Church of Saint Pierre – Collonge La Rouge. On our trip we have visited several villages and among them was « Collonge La Rouge. This is an unbelievable small village where from the smallest house until the church of “Saint Pierre”, everything is built in “Red – Sandstone”, so it is a totally red village where only the roofs are... The church as with the rest of the town is stunning. The red brick of the whole village makes you feel like you are in a fairytale. Certainly wasn't expecting anything thing like this, but this town is well worth a visit.
