We visited on a cruise. Did some hiking.. took in the views.. drank the meltwater.. i'm still alive. Its breathtaking amidst the snow covered mountains. Its thawing in May.. creating lots of waterfalls. Stunning.

Cruising into olden, slightly overcast but amazing scenery, glass like water casting huge reflections of the snow capped landscape.

A really tranquil town. Very few shops and bars, however, the two churches are within walking distance and well worth seeing. There are plenty of footpaths to explore the surrounding countryside

I think you can book the trip from the dock side in Olden, or you can ask at the Ship Reception. It is a wondeful trip, and unforgettable. Good luck!

Anyone been on a helicoptor trip from the Olden area? We are thinking of booking one through our cruise line.
