Very nice and friendly guides, good organized and not complicated.
We went on snowmobile ride and visted also a husky farm. The ride with the huskys was absolutely the highlight of this holiday.
It was freezing -26 Celsius but nice and sunny weather the ride was just fantastic. If you love dogs, beeing outside and don‘t mind the cold a must do for everyone. The nice staff will give you also warm cloth to make sure that you don‘t end up beeing an ice cube at the end of the trip.
We will definetely do this again if we come back.

The activities were all organized by our travel agency and we were very lucky to have all of them at the Due North Safaris:
Aka 360 on snowmobile (1 person / snowmobile), a half-day visit at a huskies farm (incl. apprix. 90 min of sledge driving) and a reindeer tour under the stars (unfortunately no northern lights this night). The guides are great, the timing are perfect and we really enjoyed every minutes of each activity!
They provide you very warm equipment as well! Definitely recommend this to anyone! Thanks again to all guides and drivers 😊

Would highly recommend booking activities with Due North. We contacted Due North prior to arriving in Lapland to book our activities and they helped us schedule everything. We did a Nighttime snowmobile northern lights hunt and then the Akas 360. If we were there another day, I would have done the Akas 360 again that’s how much we loved it and enjoyed the scenery. It was truly an amazing experience. They also provide transportation to and from your hotel and provide clothing for you to use during the outdoor activities.

Beautiful, breathtaking place and Due North Safaris helped us explore and enjoy it to the fullest. Brian, the owner, is charming and responsive and Eerik was a great snowmobiling guide. We went on a dog sled ride and a reindeer sled ride. Both very memorable experiences.

We wanted to go on a snowmobile safari but the tours with Tui were all booked. We had at walk and came across Due North Safaris by accident. We called in and the man was really helpful. He planned our trip exactly as we wanted it. We were so lucky to book it for Christmas Eve. We were picked up from our hotel and the guide went through everything we needed to know. It was the most amazing experience. Our guide stopped off a couple of times so that we could take photographs and enjoy some berry juice with gingerbread. If ever we are lucky enough to visit again we will definitely go back to Due north. Thank you guys for making our trip special.

We had an amazing family adventure on a snowmobile safari to the Snow Village. Our guide Erik was brilliant really helpful and patient in getting us ready to drive the snow mobiles, great with our little girl who got a little cold getting her hand warmers sorted so she warmed up quickly, and an excellent guide at the Snow Village having helped build it.

The snowmobile ride was great fun, with beautiful scenery, we went at a pace that suited us, and had plenty of time to look around the Snow Village before heading back.

We would highly recommend Due North, professional, friendly, excellent itineries and friendly knowledgeable guides.

We booked three safari's with Due North (snowshoe hike, Reindeer farm and husky safari, with snowscooters). We liked all three very much. Pick-up and drop-off at our cabin was easy and our guides were very helpful and friendly. Rent of warm clothing was included and although it was -15, we never felt cold. We appreciated the smaller group sizes. Thank you for such a nice experience!

Me and a friend did 5 safari's with Due North Safari's
Monday: Husky by Snowmobile
- A truly beautiful tip! With the moon shining as bright as a moon can shine, slowly watching the magical sunrise. Didn't expect we could drive the huskies ourselves, which was truly a kick ass experience. 10/10
Monday: Northern Light Wander
Even though we didn't see the Northern Lights and the rest of the group had trouble communicating with anyone that didn't speak German/Swiss dialect, our Guide Tanja truly did her best to ask all our questions and really to her time for us! The beautiful sky full of stars was great to see. 8/10
Wednesday: Ice fishing by Snowmobile
Our guide Ulka (Hope I've written that correctly!) also really took his time. Ice fishing trip was one of the most beautiful trips. Although I would recommend a multiple day trip by snowmobile, as I feel that would be even better. 10/10 (multiple day would be 20/10 I suppose :))
Thursday: Snow Shoe hike
Our guide Ramona was just too kind. She even used a trick that the wild Siberian Jay would come and eat the hands of some in our group! She also told a lot about the scenery.
Friday: Reindeer by bus
Our guide/driver Oscar was open to talk about his life in Sweden (in which we were mostly interested). The reindeer farm was nice to see, however I must be honest and say the ride itself was extremely boring, especially if you've already experienced the Husky sled ride... Would recommend to visit the farm, although I'd skip the ride.
All in all a great Safari-agency and would recommend them to everyone. They really take the time to answer all the questions to have, and to take pictures.
Tip for the clients; Please help the guides (and yourself) to have a good time. A group that just listens and follows is no good to anyone...

We had one of the best days of our lives on this amazing tour. Due to having to change our travel plans, we visited the office to see if we could change the day of our tour. Brian was only too happy to change things around for us and arrange other staff to take us the next day. The tour itself was fantastic. Firstly we were provided with equipment (jackets, pants, gloves, balaclavas) which kept us dry and warm all day. We were guided by Eric who looked after us so very well. We followed large and very small paths to the reindeer farm. Some of the paths were narrow but great fun and some went through a little area where Eric pointed out fresh otter tracks in the snow alongside a creek. We didn't see the otter, but the attention Eric showed in looking out for things to show us, was indicative of the care he took of us all day and the effort he went to to make sure we had a good time. The reindeers were fun, and the silence of a ride through the forest in a reindeer sleigh was wonderful. Afterwards, the reindeer handlers shared warm drinks and traditional biscuits as they told us about the cycle of the year for reindeers. It was very informative and a real insight into the importance of reindeer in the history of this area. Following this we were back on the snowmobiles for an extended ride to the snow village. The snow village is a hotel made out of snow and ice and is a must see for the art that is carved in snow and ice throughout. In addition to being deeply impressed with the art, we had a delicious lunch (also included as part of the tour). After about an hour at the snow village we got back on the snow mobiles and had a super time taking a scenic route back to Akaslompolo. I can't speak highly enough about Eric for his guidance, knowledge and care. We are a family of 4 and our youngest daughter was in the sleigh attached to Eric's snowmobile. He made sure that she also had a great time all day.

Overall, if you are going to Akaslompolo or surrounds and are looking for a snowmobile adventure like we had, or any of the others Due North Safaris have on offer, I would highly recommend them. They are professional, know what they are doing, are focussed on looking after their customers and in all of our dealings with them, showed themselves to be really nice people.

We highly recommend Due North Safaris. Our experience was incredible - from Brian helping us out to arrange a snowmobiling safari to our guide, Erik who was wonderful. We had the most amazing time on our safaris. We would recommend Due North Safaris to anyone who is looking to have a fantastic Lapland experience.
