Beautiful forest, a good start-point to walk to several volcanoes (like Santa Margarida or Croscat). Try a well indicated circle route (num.1), easy to walk with kids, it takes you about 3:30h.

I highly recommend a walk in 'fageda' either in the spring or in the autumn. There is a pay car park at the entrance, but avoid weekends if possible, when it gets really crowded.

It doesn't matter if it's winter or summer, if you are walking or jogging or just have a tour with a bike... you will enjoy the light arriving to the ground through tree branches or leas (according to the time of the year)

You can walk, go in carriage, ride a bike... The forest, the gastronomy, the nature, the volcanoes, the romanesque architecture... Do not miss Banyoles lake, near Fageda.

We took a horse drawn carriage through this forest but there are lots of hiking trails for those wanting greater activity. The forest has a type of beech tree only found in two places on earth and they stand on the lava flow from the...More

We drove from Girona to see the craters recommended to us. This is a very special place, more beautiful in Autumn.

A great way to spend a few hours. Easy stroll through a lovely forest. Amazing light penetrating through the dense cover. Our trail came upon the co-op dairy which was a nice place to stop for ice cream. We should have picked up a map...More

it's quite and only nature. Just yourself, trees shade and this ancient volcanic spot. Good restaurants arround in la Deu or la Font Moixina. Strongly recommended, we do always come back

This is a very special place to get away from it all. Allow yourself to slow the pace and let the horse ride take you through a very special beach forest. Even more beautiful in Autumn.
