Ancient Ruins
Oct 2020 • Couples
Can be accessed from the main road or from the beach. It is nice to be able relax amongst the ancient ruins with great views towards Agios Nikolaos.

Beautiful
Sep 2020
We got married here in 2017, lovely little island and a beautiful place to get married, idyllic! You can swim or tip toe walk across to it from the beach.

Ruins of this basilica of Agios Stefanos constructed around 500 century, right located near the sea and the beach; the entrance to the site is free, you feel you free in an superb ambiance of archeological site and near the beach; the basilica is very good preserved; nice columns and mosaics.

Interesting but not all that much to see
Oct 2019
We had a good look around here when on holiday. It's an interesting spot but not all that much to see. Spotted a few inscriptions on isolated stonework but not clear if they had been brought to the site or were original items. Never the less worth a look if you're in the area.

Swim to the basilica
Oct 2019 • Friends
I decided to swim over to the island as I was staying at the ikos aria ..I climbed the front in bare feet ( not advisable ) got to the top to check out the lite church ..Nit much there except the church ,which you couldn’t enter ..although I gave the outside bell a little ring .
I found a better way down ,(where the boats dock )then swam back to the mainland ..yes it’s worth a visit .not spoiled by man very rustic

Interesting
Oct 2019
This basilica was right by my hotel. Very interesting to look around but I wish they would have some signs up telling us what the place actually was.

Just Lovely!!
Aug 2019
From Kefalos its a great beach walk all the way to the Basilica of Agios Stefanos. (Dont worry about walking on the beach infront of the Ikos hotel its open to passers through no problem). The ruins are a lovely place to explore and sit in the sunshine taking in the views and its all for free!

Nice but could do with some maintenance/investment
Jun 2019
The ruins seem to be in good condition, and there is great potential in this site. Unfortunately there are no signs whatsoever to explain what/where/when about the ruins you are looking at. Had to google the name of the ruins to get more information about what we were looking at. With a little bit of investment it could be made very informative, and a nice visit.
Also noticed some people coming to take pictures and climbing on the ruins, without any respect for the monument. Once again some signs could probably help in this area!

Good but need information
Aug 2019 • Couples
These are some excellent ruins on a great beach with great views.

The only downside is that there is no information on what the ruins are of, how old they are or anything. Even a couple of boards with a few paragraphs in a handful of languages would be good.

It is definitely worth a visit to look at despite the lack of information.

You see it and you've seen it!!
Aug 2019 • Solo
Not a huge amount of the basilica to see really - when I visited it was packed with families visiting the beach using it for shade so it no longer seems to be a revered historic site. Nevertheless the stroll along the beach to it is lovely and it should be seen if you're in the area.
