Driving with boat through a nice cave!

Wonderful karst cave near the ocean, mostly filled with water so you drive 2,8 km through the cave by boat powered by man power.

Visiting the Diros Caves has been my plan during a Greece trip. The Diros caves were closed or under construction each time I was in the Peloponnese. Mani is difficult to travel. In off season time, He/she must hire a taxi to travel to Mesa Mani through the Kakovounia mountains. I went in June 2016 oleanders along the roads we... More

The caves are amazing. Beautiful formations, with a nice little boat ride through the caves. The price is 13 euro and that's not bad. One complaint would be that the boatmen don't speak much English so one has no idea what they are saying or explaining ... but you can always come back and read up about the caves on... More

The Diros Cave was amazing. Nice reprieve in August, to be in cooler temperatures. I would highly recommend it. Very affordable.

6 euro to see the caves, 12 in the summer. I was expecting a 30 min row boat ride. They said the water was too high or too low so it would be 20 min. Yea right! IT WAS 5 FREAKING MINUTES. We walked through the caves as much as we rowed through them. But why did I rate this... More

Great experience. We were in July so not so many people around. We saw a few caves in Poland, Spain, Greece but this one is really favorite for us. Easy access by car, stairs down and next to seat in boat and enjoy trip by boat through cave. There is also fantastic view near entrance and exit. 40 minutes by... More

A must see! I would recommend that you go in the morning as they sometimes close early. Originally I went as a child I though it was amazing, 30 years later my memories do it justice. If you are in the area, do make the trip. The boat ride is about 45mins and at the end with a 15mins walk... More

Unique experience worth of seeing. 1. Ticket is 13€ (it says 12 on their web page) 2. The man who guides you does not speak english It is not very important to understand because he is not telling the great historical facts. Just ask someone from your boat to tell you the few most important things so that you do... More

I had some preconceived ideas about caves...but this! This was an adventure ot art. Natures was of composing amazing formations. And the variation from narrow passages into nearly cathedral rooms while travelling in a small boat. And a symphony of colours. So Greece has more than historical monuments because these caves are definetly prehistorical and not man made but natures... More
