If you're around Segovia, looking for a day trip, this place is a must see. We were there in January so the tourists were practically non existent and we had the whole place to ourselves. The palace is not as luxurious as the one in...More

Having visited Segovia last year our schedule didn't include a trip to the palace so visiting again with my parents we decided it was somewhere we wanted to go. Definitely not disappointed! Beautiful palace, excellent information on tablet, subtitles available in English for just 3€....More

The whole palace is in great shape. Some original furniture and nearly all of the wall and ceiling paintings are intact. The highlight is the hall of tapestries though. 500 years old and in great shape. The detail on them is incredible. You see the...More

Located less than a hour NW of Madrid, this is the Spanish King's summer residence, a beautiful edifice and gardens, the gardens are the highlight with a myriad of flowers and beautifully sculptured shrubbery.

We visited the Palace first, it was absolutely superb. The ceilings itself was well worth seeing. The furniture was beautiful as we're all the rooms. The gardens were amazing, beautiful, well looked after with the ponds and statues. If in La Granja you really have...More

We visited this palace at the end of March. The building itself is nice, but the garden is absolutely not interesting to see this time of the year. Given the altitude 1000 meters, there is no leaves or sprouting buds on trees. All the trees...More

Huge edifice of a palace with multiple rooms to see. However, no interior photography is allowed. The splendor of this royal residence pales in comparison to the palace in Madrid. The rooms contain little furniture, have many paintings and replica statues. 9 Euro fee for...More

Very worthwhile visit. An essential detour and perfect "base" for visits to Segovia. It's lovely to see a place of such excellent quality, that one sees few foreigners and gets to enjoy down to earth locals and escaping Madrilenos.

We were visiting Segovia and someone there told us there was an old summer royal palace nearby so we decided to drop by. It was a pleasant surprise! We did not go into the palace but we were roaming in the enormous garden with numerous...More

They are subject to a supply of water from the reservoir so sometimes in the summer may not be switched on, but normally 5.30pm on certain days. Just follow the crowds and the warden holding a Spanish Flag. The fountains are... More

To enter the gardens is free so you can take many pictures outside the palace. No pictures inside anyway
