family owned, organic tasty food
Sep 2012 • Friends
This couple with their son are doing a great job in Lucignano. They sell local organic produce and prepare organic meals. You can order in advance and show up for lunch/dinner.
They make their own bread. Pass by to have a cafe latte or eat some Italian cheese and prosciutto. They also serve wine (the house wine goblet in Italy is cheaper than a Coke).
Very nice and relaxing. Great food, great people!

Lovely friendly cafe
Aug 2012 • Couples
A really lovely cafe in the amazing town of Lucignano. I visited twice on a recent stay in Lucignano, the first time the very friendly owner was only too happy to make me up a gorgeous takeaway sandwich - which was absolutely delicious. Food is fantastic - organic, fresh and lovely. Highly recommended!

Bio Cafe Family Friendly Chill-out
May 2012 • Friends
Lovely little cafe and Bio food shop. Great place to chill and enjoy fabulous coffee, interesting beers, (can recommend the Spelt beer, clear & crisp) and plenty of good snacks to fill you up. The girls are very helpful and friendly. Good to visit.

This place made us feel very welcome and they will meet your foodie requirements for whatever mood you are in. Super organic food and the bruschetta and glass of wine for 4 euros is great value. Also does ace coffee and breakfast. Also has internet access.

Loving Lucignano and the Bio Cafe Free Tuscany
Apr 2012 • Couples
We came to Lucignano for a couple of days, then we found the Bio Cafe Free Tuscany, now, 2 weeks later we are still here and will be sad to leave! The family that run the cafe are so welcoming, friendly and helpful - speaking very good English! Filled with local organic produce, there are fresh foods, quality drinks and gorgeous home-made cakes to enjoy. The internet/wifi is very useful for travelling tourists. A fantastic place to relax and soak up some of the atmosphere and beauty of the real Italy whilst also enjoying the company of a wonderful Italian family.

Intimate atmosphere, warm and welcoming.

As a frequent visitor to a place outside Lucignano that has no internet access, I often stop by the Bio Cafe'. It is run by a mother-daughter team that always treats you as an old friend. Delicious homemade sweets, nice choice of teas, and only organic place in Lucignano.

Highly recommended!

Internet connection, home-made sweets and a friendly word
Jul 2011
If you are visiting from a big city, you will most likely recognize this type of place. It's a cosy cafe with great selection of bio-products, good wi-fi connection and great tasting home-made food.

However, the people are what makes this place unique! The cafe is run by a family of warm-hearted people, who love what they are doing...We came here the first time for a quick e-mail check-up and ended coming in every day for a chat about food, history, sightseeings..and for those amazing pear&mint sorbettos :)

Highly recommended cafe, there should be more of places like this!

Home Away From Home
Sep 2011 • Couples
Unable to connect to the internet at our villa, we traveled into Lucignano and were happy to find the cafe that offered wi-fi. However, we got much more than that. The mother-daughter team that runs the Bio Cafe were a bonus! So friendly and accommodating, their English is excellent and they were so helpful with tips and information for Lucignano and the area. The Cafe offers delicious treats and coffees, but also natural and organic packaged foods, including pastas, sauces, crackers, etc. We looked forward to going to the Cafe and were treated like family. We'll certainly count them as new friends in Italy! Lori Spinelli Crofton

Friends to visitors of Lucignano!

My husband and I stayed in a farmhouse near Lucignano and came to Cafe Bio almost every day to use the internet and drink great organic coffee. The sandwiches we tried were excellent too. Most importantly, the owners were very friendly and we spoke with them in English and Italian.
